Before Lexi could reply to Light’s unexpected compliment, Gem interjected. “Light Carter, you are shameless and senseless! Can't you see that they are monsters!” she shouted, but doubt flickered in her eyes.

“Mike, we can't stay here.” She implored.

Mike clenched his fists. He couldn’t respond. He was torn between temptation and the instinct to flee with Gem. He didn't want to lose her or let her leave on her own.

Red observed Light exchanging glances with Reed, and she felt his resolve wavered. Judging from Light’s expression and delirious words, she was convinced that he would stay even if Lexi demanded his soul.

“Fucking simp,” she cursed under her breath. She wanted to leave but she didn't want to force Reed to leave his best friend behind.

Zane could see the flicker of uncertainty in their eyes, and he knew they were teetering on the edge of fear and curiosity. “Just remember,” he added, his voice low and smooth, “we only want to feed, not harm you.”

Gem shook her head, trying to resist their words. “No! You're a monster! Look at your monstrous cock. Who in their right mind would let you fuck them!” she cried out, knowing perfectly well that she would let him if she wasn't so terrified of his creepy looks, wings, and terrifying horns.

“We are trapped here with these demons, but don’t be scared. I’m here. I will protect you. I won’t let you out of my sight for a moment,” Reed assured Red quietly.

“We will stay,” Reed said after deep thought. Light was pleased to hear that, but the duo, who were secretly in a relationship with each other, weren't.

They exchanged glances, their faces filled with fear, anger, and determination.

Gem’s voice trembled as she spoke, “This isn’t right, Red. We can’t just accept this to fuck them when they look like—” She paused, unable to call them monsters again when she saw Lexi’s piercing dark gaze. “We have to get out of here!”

Mike nodded vigorously, his brow furrowed as he bit his lower lip. “Gem is right, we can’t let them convince us to stay. This is crazy. Things will never be the same again if we continue with this fuckery or whatever. We need to get out of here before it’s too late. I mean, look at them! If we don’t leave now, we might end up trapped in this mansion forever.” He glanced at each of his friends, desperation in his voice. “We came together, we have to leave together. No more pleasure seeking. We need to leave now!”

“Red, say something!” Gem urgently tugged her best friend’s hand, hope and fear filling her gaze.

But Red only shrugged off her hand, curling further into Reed’s arms.

She was prepared to be in Hell as long as Reed would be there too.

“You know, you are such a boyfriend-loving bitch. I hope you guys lose each other!”

With those pent-up words finally released, Gem turned and bolted toward the door, her heart racing in her chest.

She yanked on the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. “Oh fuck,” she gasped, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

The thought of being trapped here forever sent her body into a tremor.

Gasping for breath, she sprinted back to the grand foyer.

They rushed up to the second floor, desperately searching for any windows that might be open.

They knew they were trapped in the haunted mansion but their desperation to escape clouded their judgment. They dashed around, panic rising in their chest as the dark smoke around them howled menacingly.

“Gem, we can’t just keep running aimlessly!” Mike shouted, trying to make himself heard over the clamor. “We need a plan.”

Gem bit her lower lip, her eyes filled with fear and urgency. “So what the fuck should we do? It feels like those dark smokes are everywhere, and the walls—! They kept closing in on us!”
