2030.'Did he mean it?' Hazel thought, unable to wrap her head around everything she'd just heard her fiance say. She watched his retreating figure until he was out of sight. Exhaling slowly, she pushed in the door to Yuka's chamber and walked in, her gaze resting on Yuka who was still lying on his bed, unmoving. He opened his eyes and she gasped.
"You're awake!" She breathed and rushed to his side. He remained silent as she helped him sit up. When she noticed the pain in his eyes, her heart faltered.
