Mag-log in“Brother!”Anna and Greg's attention was pulled to the direction which the voice came from. The couple stood to their feet immediately at the arrival of the person they were all waiting for. There was a very broad and innocent grin on Philips lips. He held out his arms sideways urging for his older brother to come to him. Greg let out a sigh of relief. He walked in large strides to where his brother was standing and scooped the latter into his arms. The two shared a warm embrace. “It's good to see you again, brother.” Philip said, loosening his hold on Greg and giving him a light pat on his shoulder. He took a step back and tucked both hands into his pocket. “I left my house to come here as soon as Matt told me about everything.” Philip continued. His eyes dimmed and his face turned serious at once. “I'm here, what do you need me for?” He demanded right away. Greg inhaled deeply, he spared his wife a brief glance and after she gave him a go ahead signal by nodding, he returned

Knocks fell against the door, forcing Ryan to briefly glance at it. The irritated gleam in his eyes turned cold. He paid no attention to it but simply went on strapping his wristwatch around his wrist. Last night was the worst night of his life. Despite booking a presidential suite to himself, he wasn't even comfortable on the bed or the room itself. He knew pretty well about what made him sleep deprived last night. His little woman. The door finally opened and someone walked in. The footsteps approaching behind him were slow and calculated. Ryan didn't bother taking a look at who just stepped into his room. He left for the bed where his black suit jacket lay and picked it up. “How was your night, boss? I hope you had a good night's rest.” Ryan's loud snort broke into the room. He wore the jacket over his black shirt which had the first three buttons opened, showing a glimpse of his chiselled chest. “I don't know who I should hold accountable for my lack of sleep last night.”
The next morning..Ava ate her breakfast in silence. Ryan didn't come back home last night and he didn't bother sending any messages too.She knew that her actions the previous day were responsible for his disappearance. Even Roland or the men who followed him didn't know a thing about his whereabouts. Her mind has been preoccupied with thoughts on how to face Matt and his mother all alone.Red and RR couldn't even go with her because they are supposed to be dead to Matt and Anna. And the men going with her were not so reliable. The dogs were faster and more agile.Plus Ryan has disappeared.“Ma’am you barely touched your meal.” The cook was forced to speak when he saw Ava rising to her feet. She offered him a tight smile. “I’ll grab something on my way to the office.”The morning drive was also quiet. Things were different without his presence.Ava tried calling Ryan once again but his line was still switched off and unreachable. She gave up trying and kept her phone back in her pur
Later that night..Ava curled up like a fur ball on her bed. Earlier today she walked out on Ryan during a heated moment between them. She had no idea of what came over her but she felt like that was the right thing to do at that minute.Their marriage was solely because she wanted to get her revenge against Matt and his family for what they did to her. Other than that, she really didn't see herself accepting him wholly as her husband.Of course she shudders under his intense stare, whenever he is around her, she always feels protected with him present with her and lastly, he is always gentle and considerate with her.Her confused ass fell flat on the bed staring at the ceiling of the dark room. “Argh.”Ava reached for her phone under her pillow and pulled it out. She stared at the time on the lit screen. It was past midnight and she hadn't heard his car driving in nor did he leave a text for her.Different thoughts and scenarios were running through her mind at the moment. What if
Brittany made her way to the pair who were looking at her in mockery. Her eyes lost its gleam as she saw Ryan's eyes leaving hers. “You should have knocked—”“Don't even utter a single word, bitch. I'm not here to exchange words with you.” Brittany warned, throwing a mean gaze towards Ava. She turned to Ryan. “What the heck do you think you're doing, Ryan? You practically lit the whole company on fire as soon as you made her the CEO.”“And how does my decision concern you?”“This wasn't how we planned to gain control of this company. You changed your plans at the last minute because of her. Why?!”“Because she's my wife.” He simply responded.Ava in return showed off her ring sitting pretty on her finger.“I should have been—”“Not here, Brittany!” Ryan warned in a cold tone. His eyes narrowed down on hers. “Don't even think about it.”Brittany let out a chuckle. She caught the fear in his eyes even though it appeared for just a millisecond.“You haven't told her about us yet, have
