Cassia’s POV

“Rise and shine, pumpkin,” I blinked my eyes open to find Magnus standing by parted blinds, his face beaming with smiles. His arms were crossed tightly on his chest, while the sunlight peeked from behind him, making him look like a sexy angel.

I let out a tired yawn as my eyes struggled to adjust to the amount of light, piercing through it. “What time is it?” I muttered, my head still in a jumbled mess.

“More like what day is it?” He walked over to my bedside and sat. “How are you feeling?” He grazed my cheeks, meeting my gaze with his dazzling gray eyes.

“My head hurts and..” I raised my hurting hand in the air. “my hands.” Then my brain processed what he said earlier, hitting me with it like a tornado. “What…what day is it?”
