Chapter Thirteen

Its yuletide season.

Nelson allowed Tasha to go see her parents.

She was surprised that he allowed her.

Sometimes good things come from bad sources.

Tasha saw that instant freedom as an opportunity to appeal to her parents again. Her stay in LA with Nelson had been nothing but a turmoil of pain and anxiety. She was bent on figuring out a way to leave the abusive marriage - before it consumed her.

Marital abuse is like a slowly burning fire, that escalates at a gradual pace. If the right measures aren't taken, one of the partners may never get out of the shell. Every intimacy has its deficiencies and down times, but physical abuse will do nothing but continue to throw dents on the togetherness.
