He Gave My Wedding Dress Away

With an hour left before the wedding ceremony, I sat at the makeup table, staring at my phone. On the screen was a photo Ethan Westbrook's ex-girlfriend had sent me.In the picture, she wore the wedding dress I had chosen, smiling sweetly while holding Ethan's arm. Ethan was gazing down at her, and his eyes were filled with tenderness. Her message read, "He says I look better in this than you did."She added, "If you want your wedding ceremony to proceed smoothly, I suggest you start begging me."I closed my phone and asked the makeup artist, "Is it really true that the wedding dress we originally decided on can't be worn because the measurements were altered incorrectly?"The bridal shop I had chosen was also handling my makeup and photography. I had spent a fortune and had numerous consultations with their team to ensure everything would be perfect on my wedding day. Now, the makeup artist could not even look me in the eye. That told me everything I needed to know.I recalled

The lengthy ceremony finally ended. The door to the waiting room opened, and Ethan stood in the doorway. He pressed his fingers against his temples, looking strained. "I'll make this up to you. I'll also go explain things to your parents..."I cut him off. "Don't bother. They're my parents, not yours.""They have nothing to do with you anymore, so don't bother," I continued. He looked stunned.Ethan's face showed exhaustion as he said, "Don't say things you don't mean. You know Anna's illness has been hard on her. What's the harm in making a small concession?"Even now, he still believed he had done nothing wrong. He was still defending Anna. For a moment, I did not know what else to say to him."Think of it as just anger if you want," I said, "Today I'll pack my things and move out. I'll have someone sell the apartment. If you don't want to sell it, just transfer my family's portion of the money to my account."As I finished speaking, I spotted my parents standing not far aw

Anna clearly had not expected me to come. The moment Ethan approached her bedside, she eagerly threw herself at him in a bear hug. Ethan caught her almost reflexively. The concern and worry in his eyes could not be faked. Then Anna planted a loud kiss on his cheek.Only after Ethan stood there awkwardly, neither embracing her fully nor letting go, did she notice me standing in the doorway.I had just put away my phone after sending the video of their little kissing and hugging scene to Anna's father.I had also forwarded him a package containing Anna's threatening messages to me and the videos she had sent from our wedding. The Bedford family was overall well-educated with decent moral standards. From our first meeting, I could tell they were good trees that had produced bad fruit.Anna's parents had not appeared at the wedding, confirming that they were not aware of what was happening. So how could I not let them see how their precious daughter had humiliated someone else?A

Seth glanced at Ethan. "That's one year longer than he's known you."Ethan looked completely bewildered, having no idea what was happening.Seth continued, "I was prepared to confess my feelings to you, but you told me you already liked someone."I was momentarily stunned. He was talking about the year when Ethan and I had just gotten together.Seth had gotten into my university and often asked me for advice. Ethan had been jealous numerous times.Later, I used my busy coursework as an excuse to distance myself from Seth. Thinking about this now made me feel a twinge of regret.Did Ethan truly not understand boundaries between people? No, that was not it. He had simply been constantly testing my limits.Seth's voice carried on in the wind, gradually becoming more natural."I thought he would make you happy, so I watched silently as you prepared to marry him. However, he humiliated you at the wedding, and you're still considering making up with him!"His voice grew more agitat

Walking home, I kept feeling a tickling sensation on my fingers. When I glanced over, I caught Seth's hand stealthily reaching toward mine, then quickly withdrawing. His hands were large with slender wrists. The veins were faintly blue, and stood out just right. They were exactly my type. After several tentative attempts, he noticed me watching. He turned his head away, and his ears quickly turned red.He casually stuffed his hands into his pants pockets.Gosh. This guy's ears turned red so easily.I slipped my hand into his pocket and grabbed his hand.He did not dare look at me, but secretly gripped mine in return. We walked awkwardly like this all the way to our building. When Seth saw who was standing by the entrance, his face fell.Ethan stood there holding a bouquet, his gaze lingering on our joined hands.I instinctively started to pull away until Seth tightened his grip on my hand. That was when I remembered that Ethan was not anyone to me anymore.Ethan looked som
