Chapter 1

"God, is that the manager who abused her power to force Leon to marry her? She must weigh 250 pounds! Look at her buttons. They're about to pop! And look at that belly. She's ugly inside and out!"

"She stole her sister's boyfriend and forced Leon to marry her. How does that fat pig have the nerve to show her face?"

"This is disgusting! How can anyone be so cruel? Sign the papers and let Leon and Lucy be together!"

I gripped my phone until my knuckles turned white. Every comment on Lucy's livestream cut like a knife.

Half an hour earlier, Lucy had walked into my hospital room and started a livestream on purpose.

On camera, she burst into tears. Her heartbroken act fooled tens of thousands of viewers.

"Ella, you used your power as his manager to threaten Leon's career. You broke us up and forced him to marry you. Now he's won Best Actor, and you've made enough money from him. Please let him go. Let us be together."

Furious, I reached for her phone.

The camera suddenly turned toward me.

As I moved, the buttons on my hospital gown popped open. The weight I'd gained from hormone treatment was on full display. I looked awful.

Within minutes, the video was all over the internet.

Leon stormed into the room and threw divorce papers in my face. "Sign them, Ella. Don't make this difficult."

I grabbed his wrist. "Leon, why? How can you let her lie about me online? I'm your wife!"

He yanked his arm away and laughed coldly. "Wife? You think you deserve to call yourself that? Look at what everyone is saying about you!

"Besides, I'm an award-winning actor now. I can't have a fat pig following me around forever. Take the hint and sign the papers!"

I stared at him. He knew why I'd gained so much weight. I'd been attacked while protecting him. After that, I needed long-term hormone treatment. The medication made my weight spiral out of control.

Back then, Leon had cried and promised he'd never look down on me. He swore he'd never betray me.

I believed him. So I worked even harder and helped him become Best Actor. Now he was paying me back with online hate and divorce papers.

"Ella, stop making things difficult for Leon." Lucy leaned close to my ear with a cruel smile. "Do you know where he celebrated his win last night? In my bed. He said looking at your fat makes him sick!"

I shook with rage and pointed at the door. "Get out!"

I hadn't even touched Lucy, but she suddenly screamed and fell to the floor. "Ella, I'm sorry!" she sobbed. "I was only trying to talk to you. Please don't hit me."

"Ella! Have you lost your mind?" Leon rushed over and stood in front of Lucy.

My parents appeared at the door. I tried to explain, but Mom rushed over and slapped me.

"Ella, what are you doing? Look at yourself! Sign the papers and stop getting between Lucy and Leon!"

Dad looked at me just as coldly. "Lucy is your younger sister. Can't you let her have this? Besides, look at yourself. What man could stand being with you?"

I froze. My whole body went cold.

They didn't even ask if I was okay. My parents took Lucy's side without a second thought. They wanted me to give her my husband.

Nurses and patients crowded around the door and pointed at me.

"God, that's the fat woman who stole her sister's man? And look at that temper!"

"She's huge. Poor Leon."

"Just divorce her already. She's disgusting!"

I listened to them mock me. Then I looked at Leon and my parents. Suddenly, I didn't want to fight anymore.

When they demanded that I sign again, I did. Then I watched Leon leave with Lucy and my parents. They laughed together as they walked away. Everything inside me went cold.

I left the hospital in a daze. Strangers stared and whispered wherever I went. I hurried home, locked myself in my room, and shut out the world.

I hid under my blanket and cried. Then my phone buzzed.

A message from an unknown number appeared. "Want revenge? Lose weight and I'll make you a queen."

I froze. Who was this? I replied, "Who are you? Why would you help me?"

The answer came right away. "God sent me to help you. Are you willing to take the risk?"

I stared at the screen. I didn't know who this person was. I didn't know what I was getting myself into.

But I remembered my parents' cold faces. Leon's cruel words. Lucy's smug smile.

I made my choice. I'd take the risk.

I wiped away my tears and clenched my fist. "All right. I'm going to make them pay for everything they did to me!"
