Chapter 9

MIA

These past six months with Liam have been amazing, I never thought being with him would be like this, I thought I will be a secret and only see him after dark. But that is not how it is, we go out; we spend time together; he sleeps over at my place sometimes and we spend weekends away with Sam. He treats him like his own son; he makes us both happy. I just received flowers from him, he always does this when he didn’t spend a weekend with us.

He sends flowers and asks how we are doing and how our weekend was. “Mia!!” Talia calls, more like yells from the bathroom and I placed the flowers on the counter and ran to the bathroom. “What’s wrong?” she is panting. “Call an ambulance now!” she shouts and am confused. “Why, what’s wrong?” I asked now panicking. “Look at Sam!” she shouts once again and I look at my son and found his eyes rolling back.
