Chapter 110

Kiara's pov.

I wake up to the sound of whistling outside my window. I stretch and look at the clock; it's only 1 p.m. I have the whole day ahead of me and nothing to do. Now I know it's more stressful to be at home doing nothing. I have drifted to sleep more than three times and have fed my baby more, so he is busy sleeping heavily and ready to give me a sleepless night.

I decide to make myself a cup of coffee and sit at my kitchen table, staring out the window as I sip my drink.

I check my phone and see that my friends have all made plans for the day, but I don't feel like going out. I scrolled through social media for a bit and then put my phone down, feeling a little down.

I decide to get dressed and do something productive. I clean my room, do laundry, and make myself a sandwich for lunch.

As the day goes on, I start to feel a little lonely. I wish I had someone to talk to, but I don't have any friends nearby. I feel like I'm missing out on something, like everyone else is having

    MATEO'S POVI woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring, jolting me out of a deep sleep. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the clock, realizing I had overslept by 20 minutes. I jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom, quickly brushing my teeth and washing my face. I barely had time to splash some water on my face to wake myself up.I ran to my closet, grabbing the first outfit I saw and quickly getting dressed. I rushed to the kitchen to make a quick cup of coffee, but the coffee machine was on the fritz. Frustrated, I chugged a glass of water and grabbed a piece of toast on my way out the door. I slept well in my old house. Very fancy, but clearly I knew it was for me. I thought about what Jim's father said.
