Chapter Forty- Seven

My laptop stared back at me as I sat by the kitchen's island waiting for my college admission. Finally, I had time away from school life until I entered College, at least. For some reason, I was not excited about going to college. There wasn't anything to look forward to anymore. My nerves were wrecked by my uncertainty.

Mum and Dad stood beside me as the first email came in, I started reading," Congratulations! Ms Emma Johnson," was all I read before my mum started screaming at the top of her voice with excitement. I would have done the same if I had been excited myself.

I mean I got into Yale, and I should have been excited but instead, I kept reading.

I read about four emails that morning and got accepted at Duke, York and Stanford. Yay me, I guess. I zoned out as my parents congratulated me with hugs. How was I going to tell them that I didn't even know which one to go to anymore? That I no longer have any intention of pursuing the future I wanted?
