Chapter Forty-Two

Emma POV

A lot has happened since I started high school. I was an innocent, shy confused girl but I had matured. I was flourishing, thriving and most important I was happy. Apart from Tristan's despicable behaviour on New Year's Eve, I had forgiven him for it, I didn't forget though, I was still angry and upset but I loved him and I wasn't sure what to do.

Months had passed and all I did was put on a show for the world to see. It felt like I was pretending to be happy with Tristan and I couldn't shake off the feeling. In the final year, I started becoming more popular being a cheerleader, Tristan's girlfriend and being at the top of my class. I even started writing a story about the life of cheerleaders and I sent it to a publishing company and they loved it. News spread about it like wildfire around the school.

I went to all of Tristan's games and I supported my friends in every fundraiser they had, so they could raise money for college. I had a memorial party in honour of Crissy,
