A slight chance of hope
Carman knew where the conversation was heading, so she grabbed the bottle of pills, took out one, and swallowed it. Then she aggressively drank water before slamming the bottle down on the table.
“How about we talk about why you are back? The last time I heard, you weren't returning.” Carmen harshly stated.

Can you handle things here until I get back?”
