Mellon helped me find where Eric was, and we found him being strangled by the smoke.

He's fighting, but none of his punches could hit anything but air.

"Eric!" I screamed for his name, and it called the attention of the dark entity holding him.

"Ack- Allen, r- run!"

His face is turning pale, and in no less than any second, he will lose consciousness.

A blinding light occurred at all corners coming from Mellon's hands. The white smoke spread everywhere, conquering the darkness the entity brought with it.

Lifting my arm before my squinted eyes, I saw it disappear, and eventually, Mellon withdrew his power.

Eric fell on the floor, weak and pale.

"Eric!" I ran to him and knelt on the floor.

When I touched his face, I hissed from his burning skin. He's as if he bathed himself with lava, and his skin became one with the burning stones.

"What's happened to him?" I exclaimed as I watched him becoming weaker and weaker by the second.
