DENIAL

The rays of sunshine peeked from the curtains, making Adriano scowl in his sleep. He groggily opened his eyes, grunting softly from the pain which was still present but it just all disappeared when his eyes fell on Edna. Edna was sleeping resting her head on headboard still sitting since his head was laid on her lap. This was the best morning of his life, best moment of his life by which he can pass all his life just replaying that one moment. His hands were firmly clasped with hers, a big smile appeared on his face as he looked at their intervened fingers. She didn't removed her hand even when he  had fallen asleep. He lifted his free hand to tuck the strand of her hair which had fallen on her face covering the heavenly view from him. He barely brushed his hand through her face securing that strand behind her ear. That simple movement stirred her sleep causing him to remove his hand quickly from her face.
