One step at a time

Luca left the pack.

Alpha Orion was no longer coming to see me at night, it was something that should not have bothered me but it was bothering me. I would sit at night hoping he would appear like usual to sit next to me but it did not happen. For two days I sat outside on the balcony gazing at the stars waiting for Alpha Orion to show up.

I was supposed to be happy, it was what I wanted...for him to leave me alone and he was finally doing it but why was I not happy?

"Hey," I smiled at Bernadette.

"Oh, hi."

She stopped to greet me, looking confused, "Why are you sitting here?"

I stood up from the couch and walked in her direction, "I just wanted to see you."

It was not the entire truth, I was checking if someone was at home. I wanted to visit the river, it was the only place that could give me some peace.
