Clement saw an old martial arts expert, whose face was obscured, slowly demonstrating a sequence of moves from the Balanced Force technique. He instinctively began copying the old man, learning the martial arts technique.

While Clement was focused on training with the mysterious expert, Ethan turned down Vincent's offer to get some rest at the Ford residence and walked out alone.

"Damn you, Clement! I swear I'll kill you!" Ethan snarled, his teeth clenched.

His eyes were filled with murderous rage. He sorely wished he could chop Clement into pieces and feed him to the dogs.

Just the thought of Clement filled Ethan with an overwhelming sense of dissatisfaction and disdain. He had an inexplicable feeling that he seemed to be losing something because of Clement. It felt like many things that should've been his had gone to Clement instead.

Ethan didn't know that what he lost was his luck. Luck was a finite thing in this world. The more luck Clement had, the more Ethan lost.
