KENDRICK'S POV

My fingers drummed against the table, my eyes were fixed on the wall clock that hung over the wall.

I squinted my gaze.

“Why does it seem like this thing is not even moving?” I grumbled.

The faster I left the office, the sooner I could go see her. I wanted to call her, but I still didn’t have her number. Or I could just ask Jessica to give it to me.

Funny, how I stalked her for years and still never got her number.

Anyway, I couldn’t blame myself for that part because she was someone’s wife at the time.

I threw my head back. Jessica was my only option.

She might just end up teasing me, but if that was what it took to get Becca’s contact, then fine.

I scooped my phone from the table and craned forward, my fingers already about to start typing on the screen when I heard a knock on the door and I paused.

“Mr. Reyes, are you in?” Mia Hermes, one of my assistants, called out from the door.
