REBECCA'S POV

How was I supposed to answer a word like that?

I couldn’t move. I could barely even breathe.

“You don’t have to say anything. I just want you to come home,” he says.

I closed my eyes, feeling my body sink further into his warm embrace. The scent of his cologne dulling my senses, and my chin found its way to the crook of his shoulder.

“Why can’t you just give up.”

Kendrick doesn’t answer. Instead, I found his hand over my waist as he pulled me from my seat. Instinctively, my hand found its way to his neck.

I blinked, staring at how easily he held me. And that warmth boiling low in my stomach—what was that?

Kendrick’s eyes ran through my pores, and I tried to turn away from him, but his large fingers cupped the back of my neck, yanking my gaze back to him.

“I want your eyes on me.” His nose brushed against the tip of mine gently, but I felt the heat on my palm, and I tightened my hand over his neck. “Maybe then I’ll have a good excuse to steal a taste.”

My body jerked and

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   Prisoner of My Own Rules

REBECCA’S POVThis is exactly why I don’t break my own rules.Never trust anyone but yourself. Ever. And yet—I let my guard down. I trusted someone. I got involved in their mess. Now look at me.Sitting behind freaking bars.I scanned the cold, empty cell and let out a heavy sigh. My breath echoed in the stillness. My head dropped as my arms slacked on my lap. Eyes fixed on the floor beneath me.“I swear to God, Alyssa… when I get out of here, I’ll—”I stopped myself and gently closed my eyes. That damn image of her son popped into my head again.Just a kid. Still soft around the edges.Too bad he had a mother like that. Or a father. Whatever you want to call that disaster of a human.Maybe—just maybe—the only reason I wouldn’t go after her is because of that little boy.But don’t get it twisted. That doesn’t mean she’s off the hook.Nobody messes with me and walks away clean. There’s always a price.“Shit,” I muttered, dragging my hands down my face. The cops hadn’t let me make a sin

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   Your life or your pride

KENDRICK'S POV"If you think I am going to believe you, "stop dreaming—because that is never going to happen." Felix licked his bottom lip.Sweat trickled from the side of his face. "The one she loves is me. I don't believe this is what she wants. If Rebecca wants a divorce, then she should come out right now and stop playing these games."I massaged my temples and sighed. Apparently, this was going to be harder than I thought. His mouth was going to be the death of him because the more he kept talking, the more I just wanted to drive my fist against his jaws.I used my eyes to nudge toward the paper lying on his lap. "Are you going to sign it or not? At least then I'll know which of your fingers to start chopping off first."The smile on his face drained, and he blinked. "You're... not serious, are you?" he mumbled with a stutter.A smirk formed on my lips. Crossing my arms together, I turned toward Lewis, who returned my smile."Mr. Sterling, I would advise you to sign the papers.

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   His Deadly Game

KENDRICK'S POV“Get the hell away from me or I swear to God I’ll—”“What?” I cut him off, crouching in front of him with my chin resting on my hand, foot pressing into his lap. “Go on. I’m serious. Tell me. I’m dying to hear what you’ve got to say. Because right now, I’m here... and you’re the one in chains.”“You cursed bastard,” he spat.My fist slammed into his face. I heard the crack of his jaw and the grunt of pain that followed. He deserved it. Every bit of it.Everything he put her through... Felix Sterling deserved worse than this.I grabbed his collar and pressed my foot against his thigh again. He screamed.“In case you don’t realize it, you don’t get to leave here without my say-so. Right now, your life belongs to me. So if I were you, I’d sit still like a good little puppy. Because that’s all you are now.”He didn’t respond, but the blood in his mouth and that fire in his eyes said enough. He hated me. Probably wanted me dead. Too bad. That’s not happening—not until Becca

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   The Villainess Gets Cuffed

REBECCA'S POV"Yeah, I did. So what?" the guy slurred, hands on his hips like he was proud of himself. His breath reeked of alcohol, sharp and sour, and it hit my nose like a slap. It only made the anger in my chest burn hotter. Why is it always scum like this that end up with women who don’t deserve this?I used to think God was unfair. But now? I know better. Most times, the signs are there—we just ignore them. Blinded by love. Desperate. Pressured by society or whatever family thinks we should be doing. And some of us… we’re just scared to be alone.I was already stepping forward, my heels clicking against the pavement when I felt it—a tug at my ankle. I looked down. Alyssa. She was clinging to my leg.Her eyes were red and wet. Face swollen. Blood at the corner of her mouth.Something inside me cracked. She looked so small, so broken. Just like I used to be.“Miss Belmont, please… this is my family. Don’t get involved,” she whispered, tears rolling freely now.I hesitated. She was

REBECCA'S POVA sneer tore from my lips as I noticed Kendrick actually didn’t come with me.“Hmph.”My palm connected with the steering wheel. After all that love confession and those bullshit about wanting to protect me, yet he bailed out the moment he found something better to do.“Miss Belmont, are you okay?” I heard Alyssa ask hesitantly from beside me, and that was when I snapped my head and realized that she was still with me.I’d spotted her earlier, standing at the pavement trying to hail a cab and I offered to give her a ride just in case that creep decided to still lurk around.Philip Hart—he was going to get his punishment, as well as the rest of those fuckers that were using female staff as their sex workers.“Miss Belmont,” she called again, and I snapped back from my trance, adjusting myself in my seat.“I’m fine. Just a little pissed off,” I blurted out.“Why are you pissed? Is this still about Mr. Sterling and her?”My brows furrowed in confusion. What was she even say
