REBECCA'S POV

"Miss Belmont, please don't complicate things," he says. "We are just doing our job." He gave a sublte and polite nod.

"Well, Your job is shitty and it sucks. Kindly consider a change of pofession." I snapped.

There was no way I was going to let myself falter just because he was polite.

If I was correct, this must have been Anna’s doing. She had always detested me, no doubt—or maybe it was the both of them.

"I am sorry, gentlemen. I have no intention of skipping work today."

Two steps forward, and I was already standing eye to eye with the man in front of me. "I didn’t get dressed to be hanging around in a police station, and besides, you just came here on baseless claims."

I narrowed my gaze, and I could see the man’s lips tighten.

"If you want me to go with you, then you should at least provide proof. Else, I would not hesitate to sue you for trespassing because, after all, this is my company."
