I gritted my teeth, knowing the needle would pierce my skin any moment. I wanted to scream, but the rag wouldn't let me. I felt as though I would be sick. All of a sudden, it stopped. The world turned dark. I looked around to see where my assailant had gone. He wasn't here; it was just me floating in a sea of darkness. I felt a warm hand reach out for me.
