Manolya`s POV

He stared me down with those molten-red eyes,

“Go back,” I said. “Now.”

Aziz’s lip curled, showing more tooth than a cat should ever have. “Go back where, to Constantinople?” He said while narrowing his eyes.

“We have a customer coming in any minute! Back to normal. Please.”

Pelin made a strangled sound behind me. Uncle Eren planted himself between her and Aziz like a human shield. “You heard her,” Eren said with his voice steady but tight.

Aziz looked back at Uncle Eren with his red eyes narrowed, squinting. “A cat Manolya? Are you going to to cage me into this pathetic form again? I am who I am, and I do not like being caged down, now when our little secret is out in the open.”

I started to panic “You know why!” I exclaimed. “My father put you in this form since cats are everywhere! No one will question your presence!” He loved watching me squirm as my heart raced.

Aziz let out a low, rumbling laugh that sent down a shiver down my spine “You mortals and your n

  • Hellblades   19 - The Obsidian Dimension

Manolya’s POV Aziz leapt onto the handrail and sat as neat as a taught coin. He licked a paw with an affected calm. “I forgot to mention,” he said, as though it pleased him to deliver exposition, “you can now perceive certain things you could not before. You are connected to the blades. Welcome to the obsidian dimension. Some creepy things dwells there. It might be disconcerting at first.” Pelin exchanged a glance with me. Her face had turned pale in a way I recognized as dread. “What do you mean by obsidian dimension?” I asked. Aziz’s tone grew clinical. “The mark prevents ordinary creatures from entering. It can also claim a house. The person behind this is skilled. They are not an amateur. This is black magic.” “Black magic?” Pelin’s voice trembled. “What does that mean for Ipek?” Aziz paused and looked at me. He asked the question that felt like a razor blade. “Are you sure you wish to hear?” “Yes,” I said. The words came out small but determined. I had to know. He spok

  • Hellblades   18 - The Marked Door

Manolya`s POV I woke to Pelin shaking my shoulder. “Get up,” she whispered. “The twins are already awake.” I swung my legs off the guest bed and followed her down the narrow hallway. The house smelled of lemon polish and the faint sweetness of yesterday’s tea. The twins’ door stood ajar and their giggles drifted out like small birds. Ayla’s bedroom was dark and quiet. She had not moved. My father’s chair at the kitchen table sat cold and empty. He had already left some time ago. I set that fact aside with a curse I kept to myself. I had overheard the conversation between my father and Uncle Eren. My father had been defensive in a way that made no sense. He had placed a demon, bound as a cat, to guard me, and yet he refused to speak. Even now, when I knew pieces of the truth, he remained silent. He acted as though life continued normally. It did not. Pelin noticed the expression on my face. She understood at once. She stepped close and put her hand on my shou

  • Hellblades   17 - Brothers at Odds

Uncle Eren’s POV The mansion was so quiet when I stepped inside. Akyaka nights usually carried sounds, the hum of cicadas, the faint crash of the sea, the low thrum of boats moored at the pier. But here, in my brother’s house, silence pressed in like an unwanted guest. Manolya and Pelin slipped through the hallway without a word, up the stairs, their footsteps quick and light, eager for sleep. The twins and Ayla were already out cold. That left only me. I hesitated at the edge of the living room. Emre sat where he always did, sunk into the brown leather sofa, a book resting on his knee. He was reading some book about art history. His eyes moved, and that crease between his brows was deep, I could tell he did not want to be disturbed right now. I hated confrontations. Always had. But tonight, it felt like the weight of everything shoved me forward. I cleared my throat. “So… you were right, brother. About the black magic.” He did not even look up. “I am sorry I did not bel

  • Hellblades   16 - Refuse To Speak

Manolya’s POV I turned, feeling Aziz staring at me, leaving my stomach churning. “Aziz,” I said. “Tell me what you know about my mother. How did she really die? My father won’t say a word. And what about Ipek?” His eyes met mine, unblinking. “I can do no such thing.” My throat tightened. “What does that mean? I command you to tell me.” “If you command me, I must obey…but” he said with a tone flat as stone. “except for this part, I can not say a word.” “Says whom?” I snapped back at him. He yawned. “By the one who bound me.” “Which is—” “Your father,” he said, and his tail flicked, satisfied with my flinch. Pelin hovered in the doorway, a glass of water trembling in her hand. “Don’t let him twist you, Manolya. He wants you to free him. It’s all tricks with demons.” “He’s not twisting,” I said, hating that my voice was raw. “He’s refusing.” “Refusing because of the spell,” Aziz said mildly. “There is nothing I can do. it is airtight. I am bound to protect you…and those littl

  • Hellblades   14 - The Demon

Manolya`s POV In Uncle Eren’s antique shop, surrounded by creaking shelves and the scent of aged wood, My cat Azis claws raked the box Uncle Eren had brought home from the strange old woman`s house, leaving deep scratches. His body was rigid and bent, like it was his enemy. I yelped with my heart pounding, as his yellow eyes burned into me.” “Aziz!” I shouted, stumbling back with my pulse racing. “What’s wrong with you?” Uncle Eren lunged forward with his eyes wide. “Manolya, are you okay? I will get the cat off the box before you hurt yourself!” Uncle Eren reached for Aziz with his hands shaking, but his claws dug deeper, hissing wildly. “Aziz, stop!” I shouted, my voice shaking from fright. His hiss was low, strange, and his claws raked the box, still leaving deep gashes. He’d never turned on me like that before. “Aziz!” I yelped, stumbling back with my heart pounding loud in my chest. “What are you doing? You crazy cat!” “Manolya, are you alright?” Uncle Eren’s voice crac
