GWENDOLY POV

I know Bryn's family is loaded and I have been to his house several times but I’d never been to this penthouse before.

And the shithead had hidden it well from me which kinda hurts.

But finally, I could be free from his dick of a brother.

That was what I thought.

But when Frost opened the double doors, my excitement died instantly.

“What the hell is going on here?”

I asked when I saw what looked like Eve on top of someone. Then the person raised his head.

It was Bryn.

“Frost, don't you know how to— Gwen? Shit!”

He paled and gently pushed Eve off him.

“Bryn?”

I yelled.

“What the fuck, Bryn. Are you seriously fucking her while my sorry ass was waiting for you at the airport?”

My eyes burned with anger.

“So? He should be fucking you instead?”

Eve said while fixing her messed-up hair.

“I wasn't talking to you, bitch. Not that I expected something decent from a wet cardboard.”

She jumped off the couch, but Bryn held her back.

“How dare you?” Then she smirked. “You know, you are just pained because he always chooses me, no matter what ”

That hurts because she was right.

But I wasn’t going to back down now. I had a mission to accomplish.

“Says the bride who's riding her ex just a few weeks from her wedding. Does the groom know he's marrying a public whore?”

Her face went hot.

“Gwen. Just stop with the name-calling.”

Bryn was trying to calm me down.

“No, I'm not. She keeps stringing you along even though she about to get married, she—”

“Enough, Gwen”

The way he said it made me shut up.

He ran his hands through his hair, then turned to me.“Look, I'm sorry for not picking you up, but Eve wanted to talk, and I had to cancel at the last minute”

I stared hard at him.

“You mean you canceled because of her? I almost got robbed, and you were here—”

He walked closer for the first time.

“Wait! What? You were robbed?”

“Almost. if it wasn't for me.”

A raspy voice interrupted, and we turned to look at Frost, who was leaning against the doorframe with an amused smile on his face.

I had forgotten he was still here.

Bryn narrowed his eyes at him.

“Yeah”

Then he turned to me, gripping my shoulders lightly.

“Thank goodness, Gwen. You okay? Look, I'll make it up to you. I promise.”

He smiled, and my heart skipped a little.

He straightened. Then his whole face lit up. “Actually… good news.”

My instincts told me he wasn't up to anything good.

“Good news? What good news?”

He pulled Eve closer, then beamed at me again. “Eve is canceling the wedding”

I blinked. “She’s what?”

“Wait a minute, Bryn. I'm not canceling anything”

Eve pulled away from him, frowning.

“But babe, you said—”

He tried to hold her, but she moved farther away from him.

“There is no cancellation.” She glared at him. “The wedding is still happening. I can't believe you're this selfish.”

She pointed at him.

“Selfish? You're the selfish one here?”

I cut in, pointing at her.

“I'm not talking to you, momma. Stay out of this”

Eve snapped.

I wasn't going to let her speak to me that way.

“One more word, and your fake ass will be sorry.”

I advanced toward her but was suddenly held back by Frost.

“That's enough, little lady.”

He held on tightly while taking me back into the foyer.

“Let go of me. Someone needs to teach her a lesson.”

I struggled to get out of his arms.

“And you're the one to do that? I told you before kitty, you can't separate people in love.”

I spun around to face him.

“Don't you call me that. And you're just selfish. How can you watch your only brother get played like this?”

His eyebrow lifted.

“Is that why you came to L.A.? To make sure the wedding happens?”

“Stay away from me”

I turned to walk away, but he held my hands. Then he suddenly went still.

“Mate,” he muttered under his breath.

I turned. “What did you say?”

He went silent, but I saw a flash of golden light flicker across his pupils before disappearing.

 “What was that?”

He suddenly regained himself.

“Nothing”

Then Eve stormed out of the lounge, Bryn right behind her.

They walked towards the parking lot, and I instinctively stepped forward, but frost held me back again.

My temper flared.

“What the fuck is your problem?”

I snapped.

“My problem?”

He smirked, then took a step toward. I did the same. He took another step until my back hit the wall and I was cornered.

“My problem is…”

His voice was low and husky as his gaze slowly darkened.

I swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how fast my heart was racing.

“You need someone to loosen you up a bit. You've been stuck with him for years and don't know what it feels like to have someone else tempt you.”

Then he leaned closer until his breath fanned across my ear.

“I can help you with that. I can help you slowly forget Bryn and think of me instead.”

Heat shot down my spine before I could stop it.

“What the hell is going on here?”

Bryn’s voice cut through the foyer.

“Nothing, Bryn.”

I shoved past Frost fast.

Bryn's eyes narrowed at us, like he knew there was something more. “Are you hitting on my best friend?”

Frost just smirked. “And?”

“Bryn, don't listen to him. There is nothing going on. I was actually waiting for you here.”

 I quickly explained.

Bryn's eyes remained fixed on me, like he didn’t believe me.

“Stay away from Gwen, Frost. She's Off-limits.”

Bryn pulled me closer to himself, and I heard an animalistic sound like a wolf behind me.

I jumped.

“What was that?”

“It's nothing,”

Bryn replied quickly. Then he turned to Frost who looked like he was about to murder someone.

Okay.

What is wrong with the psychopath now?

One minute he was smiling, and the next, he looked like a serial killer.

“Take your games somewhere else. Then he shot Frost, a look that could kill. “Come on, Gwen. I'll show you your room.”

He basically dragged me down the hall.

I glanced back to see Frost still staring at me.

His jaw flexed hard.

Bryn pushed a door open, and we stepped into a spacious room that screamed luxury.

“You will be staying here for the next couple of weeks.

Then he stared at me.

“What?”

I asked when the stare became uncomfortable.

“Stay away from my brother. He's dangerous”

 Bryn said.

“Dangerous? How?”

“He is a—” He hesitated. “Just… stay away from him. For your own good.”

“O…Kay”

I said, wondering why he was so tense.

Then I waited a second, then asked the only thing that mattered. “Is she still calling off the wedding?”

He sighed, then shook his head.

“No.”

Relief hit me harder than it should have.

Thank goodness.

I still have a lot of time to complete his mother's offer.

“Hey.” I forced a small smile. “We’ve still got two weeks. We can still crash it.”

He managed a tired grin. “Yeah. We can.”

“You hungry? I’ll make dinner after you clean up.”

He replied, suddenly excited.

I raised an eyebrow. “You can't cook, Bryn”

“Well, watch me. It's part of me making it up to you.”

He grinned, and I couldn't help smiling.

“Can't wait to see it, Bryn.”

“Good. Await my magic.”

He replied, then the door clicked shut.

I glanced around the bedroom, then headed for the bathroom.

I stood in the middle of the ridiculous bathroom, staring at the expensive products lined up like they’d been put there for me on purpose

“Did Bryn actually buy these because of me?”

I couldn't help smiling more widely as I stepped into the bathtub, thinking about the fitted clothes packed in my suitcase.

Tonight was still a chance.

And I was going to take it.

  • Hellbound To The Wrong Hockey Alpha    THE WRONG BEST FRIEND

FROST POVWhen Bryn asked me to help pick up his best friend from the airport, I almost told him to go to hell.I wanted nothing to do with his messy love life. I didn't understand how a guy could love a woman like Eve.But then, that's what made him Bryn Walker. He loved flashy, loud women and anything that slowly drove a person insane. And Bryn being Bryn, he kept pushing. So here I wasBut the girl who stepped out at LAX didn’t match the version he’d spent years describing. He’d always made her sound soft. Nerdy. Hoodies and boots, glasses, quiet. The kind of girl who read thrillers and stayed in her lane.I could still hear his stupid voice.Frost, do you know any Gen-Z woman who loves hoodies and boots more than heels? Nah! None except Gwen. The woman I found looked nothing like thatDressed in a black crop top and tight jeans that made her perfectly rounded ass hard to ignore. Those green eyes were hidden behind her glasses, and those plump lips made me wonder what they would fe

  • Hellbound To The Wrong Hockey Alpha    MEETING THE WRONG WALKER

GWENDOLY POVI had been standing at the taxi stand at Los Angeles International Airport for forty minutes, looking like a worn-out wannabe. It was typical of Bryn not to show up at the expected time.I should’ve never let him fly ahead of me.Now, I was standing here with my luggage, dialing his number for the hundredth time as it kept going to voicemail.Suddenly, my phone buzzed and completely blacked out.“Perfect,” I muttered. The battery was dead. Now, how the hell was I supposed to reach him?I felt like punching someone—or something.“Hello, miss. Need some help?”A tall, shaggy-looking guy with messy blond hair was smiling at me. Another guy hovered a little too close behind me. I instinctively held onto my bag tightly.“What do you want?”I scowled at him.“Easy. You’ve been standing here a while. Figured you might need a hand with something.”He said it softly, and I relaxed a little. He didn't look like one of those typical pickpockets.“Yeah. I'm actually waiting for some

  • Hellbound To The Wrong Hockey Alpha    CRASH THE WEDDING

GWENDOLY POVIt was past 8:00 A.M., and Bryn hadn't replied to a single one of my text messages or picked up any of my damn calls.I'd stayed awake all night, waiting to hear the sound of my car returning or my phone ringing.Neither happened.I finished the team’s morning physicals. Bryn was nowhere to be found.Coach Zach was already yelling at the rest of the team to move their asses. Then the door slammed open.Bryn walked in looking like shit. His hair was a mess, his clothes were rumpled, and there were dark circles beneath his eyes.He dropped into the chair next to me.“It's over, Gwen. I'm completely fucked.”“What happened?”I immediately stopped what I was doing and pulled my chair closer. My anger evaporated immediately.“That bastard caused this. If he hadn't taken Eve from me, none of this would be happening.”He stood and started pacing, running both hands through his hair.“Bryn. Sit down and tell me what actually happened.”“What am I supposed to do, Gwen? How do I ev

  • Hellbound To The Wrong Hockey Alpha    WILD NIGHT GONE WRONG

GWENDOLY POV “You know what, Bryn? I'm booking a stripper for you tonight?”He turned sharply "You want to book me a stripper? Don't you know what strippers do, Gwen?”He asked.“I know enough to know they only gonna lap-dance on you”I rolled my eyes.“Come on, Bryn. It'll be fun, and you clearly need a distraction.”I watched his reaction. For a moment, he looked thoughtful. Then he nodded.“Yeah. You're right about that. I need a distraction. And what better way than a stripper?”He grinned, his eyes suddenly bright.I immediately started typing on my phone. “I need to change into something better before my distraction gets here.”He headed toward his bedroom. I raised an eyebrow. “What about me?”He stopped dead. Then slowly turned around. “What about you?”“Don't you think I need to change too?”His eyes swept over my baggy T-shirt and old black pants as if he were seeing me for the first time.“Gwen...” He said my name carefully. “No guy strippers. Not in my place.”He said

  • Hellbound To The Wrong Hockey Alpha    THE WORST IDEA

GWENDOLY POV “I can't believe she did this to me!”Bryn said it for the hundredth time, face buried against my chest while I ran my fingers through his curly hair and tried not to like how good it felt. He wasn't in the locker room when I got there, and judging from his personality, I knew he'd be at his home, drowning himself in alcohol. “But Bryn, a public proposal? How could you pull such a shit without at least hinting me on?”Why pull such a stunt especially when it involved a psycho girlfriend. He let out a long, broken breath. “I'm sorry, Gwen. I just wanted it to be a special surprise. I rolled my eyes.Yeah. It was special alright. Just not the way he planned.“Eve broke my heart. She completely ripped it apart, Gwen” He wailed, and I bit back the urge to knock some sense into his head. Here I'm, sacrificing my entire weekend for his depressed ass and he kept wailing that bitch name. I wonder why he bothers crying when he would run back to her like a puppy at the sigh
