Funeral

Today was the day for the funeral.

As the process went in front of her, handled by Lyle, Seraphine stared at it with dazed expression. Often times people came to greet her and express their and grief and pity.

Although Seraphine acknowledged them, she barely registered a word of what was said in her mind. 

Even the King and the Crown Prince was present for the funeral, but Seraphine did not pay any mind to them while she stayed rooted to her position.

Beside her stood Eugene, and both the siblings held each other's hands together, trying to be one another's support.

Once everything was done, discussions and arguments on catching the perpetrators were done. After that, the conversation went on how Lyle was a child and still at academy that someone should take care of the household.

Many elders stepped forward at the suggestion, registering their right. This made her feel sick. W
