Lavender:

After they made me make that call, I kind of zoned out for about an hour. I heard them call me, saying I needed to eat, but I couldn’t move a muscle. Eventually, when they dragged me back to the room to tie me up, I started taking deep breaths.

“This is what you get for cheating on us,” Igor hissed after tying me to the bed.

I had stopped crying, but I knew they were going to keep part of the deal. The other part, they would never uphold, the one where they said they wouldn’t do anything to keep Nikon in jail forever. That part was a lie. I had already figured it out. They were never going to let him out.

“We are leaving. We’ll come back later. Hope you behave while we’re gone. No screaming, no cussing, nothing,” Easton said, coming out of the bathroom, pointing his finger at me.

I silently watched them. As they walked out, I closed my eyes and lay there, thinking about my life. I had never been anyone’s favorite until Nikon accepted me.
