The big day had come, I thought, standing at the bedroom window, looking down on the bustle on the lawn. Tables and chairs were set up, lampions hung from trees and the sunshades, and I saw two men trying to start a huge grill.

It looked like a huge family grill party, and I loved it.

Luna ceremonies were happy occasions for all packs, but usually quite ceremonial happenings. I wanted mine to be more about the pack, and having a good time with everyone. Considering all the attacks and difficulties we had in the past 2 months, people really needed some fun.

We already made plans with Emma before telling Duncan about it. He just smiled, kissed my forehead, and let me have my way. So we planned a garden party for the afternoon, with cheer and lots of food. I would take my oath after sunset, and I would have my first run with the pack later in the night.
