I watch her shift mid run and I have to say it takes my breath away everytime I watch her in her fur. Her fur is so shiny, it almost looks like oil. She howls a howl that screams pain she's hurting and Axel howls back in my head urging me to go after our mate. He doesn’t have to tell me twice. I run forward, allowing him to shift as we follow her scent.

I can feel her pain heavy in my chest as I follow her, she's hurting and it is almost crushing me, making it hard for me to breath. I hear the howl again and that's when I finally catch sight of her up ahead, she is almost at the stream. Sensing me behind her, Adira snarls at me wanting to be alone but there is no way Axel will leave her.
