CHAPTER 2 It’s over…!

After enjoying a wild night with Natasha, Jayden woke up to see some notifications on his phone while Natasha was sleeping and laying her head on his chest butt naked. To his surprise, he noticed an answered call from Laura. The thought of Laura hearing whatever that happened last night between him and Natasha for almost 3 minutes flashed his mind and suddenly his face become pale then gloomy.

“ Natasha, why did you pick up Laura’s call last night?” He’s voice sounded very angry and Natasha’s inner self began to plead for mercy. “ I did not, I’m sure you might have accidentally picked up the call without noticing since it was right next to you” Natasha gathered all her courage and gave out her answer hiding how nervous she was,hoping her words would be convincing enough for him to believe.

She knew Laura would call back to his phone the same time they would be enjoying each other, hence she strategically put his phone where she could sneakily answer the call without Jayden noticing.

It was a done deal and she was so happy that finally, Jayden was going to be hers only since Laura was going to be out of the picture.

She gave out a side smirk that Jayden did not notice and quickly changed her face expression to a concerning one.

Natasha and Jayden knew each other long before Laura became Jayden’s girlfriend. They both lived in Lusaka which made it convenient for them to meet frequently. She loved Jayden just as much as Laura did or maybe even more. She knew she needed to do something to make him hers only than just having casual sex with him all the time. Gladly, everything seemed to go her way since she knew Jayden’s feeling towards her were at most mutual.

“Give her a call, maybe she did not hear anything.” Natasha suggested. Jayden gave Laura a call but it went unanswered.

Ding!

It was a message from Laura.

[ let us break up. It is over between us. Enjoy your love life with the woman you’re with right now. I am sure she must be a thousand times better than I am in your eyes.]

Jayden’s eyes deepened as he was trying to get rid of his heart getting irritated by the massage. He knew just how much Laura sacrificed and loved him but he belittled her and cheated on her for 2 years of their 3 years relationship. He thought he was careful but the phrase “ 40 days for the thief and 1 day for the owner” caught up with him.

He hurriedly left the bed and went to take a cold shower. Natasha did not bother to follow suit instead she remained laying on the bed smiling widely. As the water touched Jayden’s skin, he wished it could also take him off the guilty trip of how unfaithful he has been towards Laura. What started as a flirt with Natasha turned out to make him fall in love with her and some how out of love with Laura.

He couldn’t bring himself to break up with Laura whenever he had the chance to. Maybe he was just a coward or maybe she just seemed pitiful in his eyes. To him, Laura was just someone he could order around and his wish would be her command. A true definition of a ‘submissive wife’.

When Jayden was out of the shower, Natasha asked if he was alright. He nodded his head and went to his wardrobe to look for an outfit as he was going to meet an important client by 9 AM at a formal gathering. Jayden was 5 foot 7, fair in complexion, very masculine as he always hit the gym and pretty much a handsome man. He picked out an off-white office shirt and a navy blue slim fit suit that fitted his body frame perfectly and made him look so sexy.

While wearing cologne as his finishing touch he felt two fragile and gentle hands caressing his chest from behind. Butt naked Natasha couldn’t resist the sight of the sexy man that was standing right before her eyes. She left the bed and gave him a hug from behind. Jayden turned to face her and leaned down to to give her a French kiss. He stopped halfway, being afraid he might be late for his meeting.

“I will be back before 6 PM, you should get yourself ready. We are going out for dinner.” He picked up his watch and car keys in the drawers next to his bed and gave her a kiss on the forehead then headed for the entrance door of his apartment. Natasha felt reassured that the ball was in her hands, she went back to bed and slept blissfully.

When Jayden started driving his Mercedes Benz to his destination , he thought it was just right to apologize to Laura for everything he did to her. After he gave himself a good run down the memory lane, he ended up being in a dilemma with pleading for Laura to stick around him and letting her go. He later on stopped the engine of his car at the nearest lay-by and sent a message to Laura.
