Chapter Fifty-five

We returned to the room after a peaceful and very relaxing breakfast outside on the veranda because we heard a knock on the door. It must be Becka; Eugene called her earlier to discuss the decision on the house helpers here in the house.

"Hon, I'd like to sit on the sofa," I said, gesturing to the sofa inside the bedroom.

"Are you sure? You can just lie in the bed, wife, I don't want to be uncomfortable," he said, his face conflicted.

"There are a lot of pillows and the sofa looks so soft," I was still trying to persuade him.

"Okay," he sighs, then walks closer to the sofa while carrying me. "Just tell me if you're uncomfortable," he says as he places me there and places a pillow on my back.

"Wow, this sofa is so comfy, hon," I exclaimed after taking a seat.

"That's good, wait a minute, this should be fine," he murmured as he lifted my feet to take up the entire sofa.
