22] His Diabolical Rivalry.
When he heard a ding from his phone, Sedar picked it up. He opened the message by swiping the unlock icon across the screen.
Mercedes: Safely arrived at the club, KLEIN. X
He scowled at the text, his gaze drawn to the 'X' symbolising a kiss, which automatically conjures up their kiss in front of the paparazzi. She had unravelled in his embrace, and it had been mind-blowing, leaving him completely astounded and validating his beliefs in the chemistry they share.
He chuckles and leans back in his chair, tossing his phone onto his desk. He sighed as he looked at his watch. He knows he won't be able to complete any work after that brief recollection. Pushing back in his chair, he stands and begins to clear his desk, making sure to place the blueprints in his safe.
He hopes to complete this project after his büyük baba is fired from the company. It will be his first project as the company's new CEO. His tenure as co-CEO was quickly coming to an end.

They make a beeline for the exit after swiftly gathering their belongings, waiting for the valet attendant to turn the Jeep around. Sedar drapes his jacket around her shoulders, and when he turns away, she inhales his aroma by bringing the collar up to her nose. It's a scent she's grown quite fond of and one she'll miss. "Sedar," She says softly, drawing his full attention to herself. "Please tell me this isn't just about sex for you?" Even if she doesn't love him, the possibility of it happening exists. And she refuses to let her body be used as a pleasurable vessel by a man once again. Even if she does give her consent for sex this time around. He turns to face her, places her face in his hands, and looks into her eyes with a chuckle. "All I'm doing is taking my wife home to make love to her." His voice is gruff and lustful. Mercedes felt herself being thrown out of consciousness. She opened her eyes in the ambulance, struggling against the paramedics as they attempted to treat her wounds."Sedar..." She cried out in hushed tones. "Where is my husband?" She inquired frantically. "Awwww..." She screamed as a pinching sensation penetrated her leg. The paramedics were speaking to her, attempting to calm her down, but she couldn't understand them, which increased her anxiety because she didn't know what was going on. She quickly found herself drifting back into the darkness, which consumed her. *** HELP! Mercedes screams, hoping that someone on the outside can hear her as her body enslaves her. The pain and fear hit her like a tonne of bricks. Her entire body, including her head, face, and chest. It hurts! It hurts all over, making the pain unbearable for her to bear. "Please, please!!" She screams once more.But no one responds, they can't hear

Eight days later.... Mercedes finally managed to claw her way out of the place that held her captive for many days. She could no longer yield to the suffering torment of the darkness. The fog slowly starts to lift and consciousness starts to resurface. The bright lights are blinding and hit her like a freight truck. She is no longer engulfed by the darkness, but it is the fear of time with no memories that have her frightened. Her eyes slowly start to flutter open as she coughs, taking a deep breath. Her body aches from head to toe, her hand squeezing Ezekiels as he continues to hold hers. He's laid his head on her bed as he rests by her side. Not once did he leave her unattended, he used the shower in her room with the door slightly open. He simply couldn't bear the thought of leaving her side entirely as he had a bad feeling that something would happen to her if he did. Sedar lay in the hospital bed, trapped inside of his body. Through the darkness, he could hear everything around him, the multitudes of footsteps coming in and out of the room, the machines constantly beeping beside him, he was becoming accustomed to the ringing sounds in his ears and the awful smell of bleach. No matter how much he willed his eyes or limbs to move, they wouldn't budge. He felt himself going stir crazy inside his own head. It had been two days since Sedar had been removed from life support, two agonising days of waiting for him to awaken from his deep slumber. Mercedes was finally given the all-clear to leave the hospital, but only under strict conditions. She stayed at a cheap motel with Ezekiel after it was made clear that she was not welcome to reside at the Ozturk residency. She'd also discovered the divorce papers Zeynep had thrown at Ezekiel while she laid paralysed in her hospital bed. She flipped through the papers, oblivious to the fact that she had already read them numerous times and refused to sign them until she spoke with Sedar herself. Until then, she refuses to comply. Besides, Ozgar had warned her not to sign them until he had thoroughly reviewed them. He also informed her that it would be against Sedars wishes. Mercedes rushed into Sedar's room, her body trembling with excitement and the pit of her stomach churning with butterflies. When she arrived, Zeynep was sleeping next to Sedar, her hand clasping his. Her steps faltered, she suddenly felt like the wind had been knocked out of her and the butterflies soon dispersed. His büyük baba, cleared his throat, with the corner of his eyes wrinkling as he smiled at her reaction. Zeynep tilted her head upwards, meeting her gaze and snickered. Ezekiel and Ozgar strolled into the room and low grunts left their mouths at the same time. "Can you tell me what you're doing with my husband?" She exhaled, attempting to maintain her cool.

Ozgar stood on the other side of the door to Mercedes motel room. He held a large envelope that carried the new divorce papers inside, he had drafted it himself, not trusting Sedars büyük baba or Zeyneps' lawyers. He knew they'd do her dirty, and he couldn't let it happen. She was young and innocent, and she still has a lot of potential. He's seen the effects of a broken woman as a result of a divorce, and even though he secretly knows their marriage was a contract, he won't let her walk away empty-handed. Her soul was as pure as water, and the Ozturk name could only taint it. He inhaled deeply, raising his hand, and knocked on the door. *** Mercedes poked her head out of the shower cubicle; she swore she heard someone knocking on the door. She wasn't 100% positive as the shower was running in the background and her ears were filling with water. She listened intently, and sure enough, there was another knock. She sighed, turning the shower off
