Chapter 17

GREY

I can feel her already. The air is just as thick as it was a year ago. The electricity pricks my skin all over. I step slowly as I approach her door. Her scent swirls around my head. I feel light headed. I can barely breathe as I reach for the knob and turn it slowly to open it.

It opens to a huge white and red room. I step in slowly.

I search the room and swallow. The pressure is intense. She’s everywhere. I’m being pulled across the room to the red curtains floating in the breeze.

I slowly walk toward them, I reach out and part them. Stepping through.

My breath is sucked in as I see her. My air is gone. She’s so goddamn gorgeous. My skin is on fire. I’ve spent a year chasing this woman and now she’s in front of me. Leaning on the balcony railing. Her strawberry scent filling the air around me. I don’t know what to say.
