Zina's POV

I walked out of the doctor's office like a zombie after I heard what's going on with Anna. I couldn't believe that my little girl could be suffering such a fate. Even though the doctor says she would be fine now, I knew that might not be all.

“Anna, my baby.” I hugged her tightly to my body, and that's when I noticed that she had become thinner, and frail.

How could I not have noticed that?

“Mummy, you are squeezing me.” She breathed, and I quickly let go of her. “I'm sorry, baby, mummy just missed you.” I said.

“Oh my! Does that mean you don't like living with me?” Sister Mary asked, acting offended, and the innocent Anna panicked. “No, I mean I would like to live with you, and Mommy.” She smiled brightly, and I wondered if she was really sick.

“Mom, when can I leave? I don't like it here, and the nurse always comes in with a tiny stick to pinch me.” Anna complained. “Very soon, but not now.”
