While Esteban was driving home, his cellphone suddenly rang. It was Hadrianna who was calling.

“Need anything, wife?” he asked as he answered the call.

“Where are you now?”

He grinned when he heard her sweet voice. He really loved calling her “wife.” It made him feel like he was floating on clouds.

He cleared his throat. “I’m on my way home. I’ve also got the money.”

Anna was feeling a little apologetic, especially after she went to the hotel for dinner yesterday and didn’t bring him along. He was left at home eating instant noodles, and she even asked him to accompany her to the hotel to help her resolve an issue.

“Don’t bother cooking later when you get home.”

Esteban frowned. “If I don’t cook, Mama and Papa won’t have anything to eat.”

“Duh? Don’t they have hands? Let them cook for themselves!”
