Father No More

The wind was blowing so cold, rain had been pouring down for hours which made it darker than usual. Cathy said goodbye to the kids, and waited for the parents to pick them up. It had been a month and a half since she started the part time job in the preschool, and it had gotten a bit difficult as she had been pregnant for almost three weeks. She waited for about an hour, and when they were all picked up, she decided to go home. It was darker and the wind blew stronger, at six o'clock, it was almost impossible for her to walk outside without getting all wet. She went out and waited for a cab, but all the cabs that went by were all booked. A car stopped just in front of her and the driver lowered the window. "Hey, it's raining so hard. Need a ride?"
