"See, the way you so casually admit to killing people, that isn't a good thing, Lobo."

"Well, you asked and I'm not going to lie to you."

"But my point is, you admit to killing. But when I ask if you have something to do with these murders, you get offended."

Lobo sighed, "That's because I've already told you I have nothing to do with it. I have no reason to lie to you. I don't go around killing random people for no reason."

I sat down on the sand, "Why do they think it's you?"

"I don't know. I guess that the killer knows I'm looking into him and now he's trying to frame me to get rid of me."

I nodded, "Okay, that would make sense. I'm sorry for doubting you."

"No need to apologize," he sat down beside me, staring out at the ocean, "This is a mess. As you pointed out before, you don't know much about me. I can't expect you to blindly trust me."

I leaned my head on his shoulder, "We do have a long way to go. It's going to be a lot of work. But we can do this."
