Maya's POV

After we talked, a very reluctant Chase walked me over to Genny's. He had work to take care of and Faith had not so politely pestered me to come see the decorations of the dinner.

The dinner was tonight, her dad would be coming back later today then everyone who was invited would join them for dinner by 7 pm. Henry, Ron and Case were invited along with other people I didn’t know but Genny had assured me that they were all close friends of the family so I didn’t have to be nervous.

Did I know what I would wear yet?

Nope.

Was I currently hating myself for procrastinating the chore of finding a dress?

Absolutely.

The door swung open before I could raise my hand to knock, and Chase and I were greeted by a mass of red curls.
