Chapter 31

Eliana:

“I’m sorry, I needed to play the act as Vladimir grew suspicious last night” I said looking at Lorenzo who nodded. Having assured him that this was all an act in front of Vladimir, the man immediately calmed down.

“You could have given me some sign” Lorenzo said shaking his head “you’re lucky that I didn’t act upon it in front of the kids”

It wasn’t like he could do anything anymore. I was a free woman, Vladimir having ‘paid’ him back the amount he paid to get me in double, Lorenzo couldn’t say no. It sickened me that I felt like I was some potato bag being sold or thrown left and right, but right now, I couldn’t care less about it as I considered what we were planning.

“I would have, but with Vladimir’s hand on my thigh, I believe that would have been somewhat impossible” I said sitting on the chair in front of his desk. I crossed my legs over the other, looking him in the eye as I waited for whatever he was going to say.

“I need your help finding someone”
