Thunderstrick Evana

Seeing Mrs.Rose in that state who was all well talking to her a few minutes ago Evana's mind got frozen, unable to understand anything. She covered her quivering lips with both of her palms panting out hard. Her orbs got stuck on the blood which was oozing out from Mrs.Rose's mouth.

Evana got her senses back when a truck crossed her car making a loud shriek horn. She jerked back with the effect and opened the car door. She rushed towards the other side of the car with stumbling steps and opened it with shivering hands. Mrs.Rose is about to fall down as soon as Evana opens the door but lands in her arms who hold her in a safe grip.

"Mother Rose".

Evana looked aside hearing a loud cry only to see a few children staring at them with horrified expressions. All of them ran towards them and started to yell Mrs.Rose's name hoping to wake her up.

Few of the kids ran inside calling the management staff of the orphanage. Within a few minutes everyone ran towards them not sparing a second for Evana to analyze anything. The staff carried Mrs.Rose inside the home followed by Evana whose legs automatically went in their direction.

They made Mrs.Rose lie on the bed calling her name anxiously.

"Oh my god, her hands are so cold".

Exclaimed one of the ladies while stroking her palms. All the children are crying out loud calling Mrs.Rose whereas Evana is just standing at the corner of the room with the support of the table beside her being the silent spectator of everything. Her mind went numb, unable to grasp  anything. Cold sweat beds formed on her forehead, unable to bear all the shouts and cries going on in front of her.

Her trance got broken hearing her mobile ring. She took out her cell from her pant pocket and let out a cry seeing the caller ID where her husband's name is being displayed. She answered the call immediately but is unable to utter any word as she is unable to recover from the shock yet.

"Hey babe, did you reach the spa?".

Evana started to cry as trying to explain to him about her helpless situation. Aariz got panicked hearing her sobs and asked.

"Hey Evana, what's the matter Sweetheart? Is everything fine?".

Taking a deep breath she is about to answer him but flinches in her place sensing a touch on her shoulder which makes the mobile collapse on the ground. She turned back and saw Mrs.Mathur, colleague of Mrs.Rose, standing in front of her.

"What happened to Mrs.Rose?".

"I... I.... don.... don't know".

Replied Evana stammering in her words looking at Mrs.Rose's face only to hit her ears with the sharp voice of Mrs.Mathur.

"What are you saying? What do you mean by telling us that you don't know? You are the only person who is found last with Mrs.Mathur and now she is dead".

Shock is just a small word to describe Evans's condition hearing the last line of Mrs.Mathur.

"Dead?". Whispered Evana with barely audible voice unable to believe her own ears.

Before she could get any reply a boy in his mid twenties came running to them and informed Mrs.Mathur.

"Mother, we called the police and told them everything. They are on the way".

Evana got rooted on the spot hearing that. She clutched her chest tightly hearing her own heart beats. She looked down at her mobile which got broken into pieces and took it in her hands. She is busy trying to fix it properly to convey everything to her husband. 

She fixed the mobile to its previous form and is trying very hard to turn it on desperately. But fate seemed to turn opposite to her at the moment making all her attempts go futile. She is crying out loud cursing her mobile tapping it in her palm but nothing seemed to work out.

AFTER FEW MINUTES :

The police are examining Mrs.Rose's body. They went to Mrs.Mathur who informed them that Evana is the last person to be found with Mrs.Rose much to increase the burden of her heart which already went all weak facing the most drastic day of her life.

The police went near Evana and asked her what she was doing with Mrs.Rose that too at the time of her death. Gathering courage Evana told them everything about their unexpected meet.

Before he could ask any further question his subordinate came to him with a bag.

"Sir, this is Mrs.Rose's bag. And we found these two inside it".He said, handing him a letter.

The superior officer opened the letter and started to read it. He then forwarded the same to Evana while saying.

"What would you like to say regarding this letter written by Mrs.Rose?".

Evana slowly took the letter and started to read it.

'My dear lovely family of orphanage,

I would first apologize to you all for leaving my responsibilities midway. As I'm very well aware that by the time you people get this letter, I will be no more left out in this world. 

The previous night I got a call from her telling me to meet me on this day. She sounded very furious and even threatened to harm the kids of the orphanage if I don't oblige her words.

Not having any other option I decided to meet her with a last hope to somehow make her stone heart delicate by once again explaining our vulnerable state in detail. But the way she talked to me on mobile, I doubt she won't spare me this time.

If anything happens to me then you people should believe that she is the one responsible for my condition. Please be very careful with my children. I'm very sorry for shunning away from my duty of raising you all up, but I love you with all my soul wherever I will be. Please be cautious with my culprit and the only one who made you again orphan by taking my life, Mrs.Evana Vyas.
