Peering straight into his viciously numb azure eyes, Ezrene shut her watery lashes tightly and pulled the trigger of that gun which she was pressing against her temple.

“Ezrene,” both Cressa and Corbin shouted while storming towards her to stop her but it had already turned too late. She succeeded in pulling the trigger of the gun but which stunned everyone was that that gun didn't fire any bullet.

Ezrene waited for that gun to tear her life out of her body but even after pulling the trigger, she heard and felt nothing. The clicking of the trigger resonated but no bullet came out of the gun which startled every single one present there, except for that one single person who was wordlessly peering at Ezrene.

Slowly opening her eyes, Ezrene pulled back that gun and looked at it thoroughly. She pulled the trigger a couple more times but nothing happened which befuddled her until she noticed something which enlarged her eyes. That gun was empty. It didn't have any bullets but how was this
