The mistress

"leave me alone.." Anda moaned swapping at the hand that continued to push her.

The person didn't give up and continued poking her.

"I'm up.. I'm up"Anda threw her hands up sitting up with sleepy eyes.

"My princess, You need to be at the dinning hall In Forty minutes, You really need to stand up and wear your dinner gown before Ellen comes in here"The timid voice whispered and Anda looked at the Thin girl with brown her and big cotton eyes.

" Who are you? "Anda asked.

"Oh ..I'm pearl,Your handmaid..Miss Ellen assigned me to you" The big eyed pale looking beauty smiled.

" So why am I getting dressed for a simple dinner?"Anda stood up slowly stretching herself.

" Because you're almost part of the royal family and the royals dress elegantly for dinner..This is your dinner gown"Pearl pointed at a corset ball gown that made Anda bust into laughter.

" I'm not wearing that just for minutes of dinner..nah,"Anda tied her hair in a ponytail.

Pearl watched her curiously as she pulled on a combat shorts and Hoodie.

"Show me the way" Anda smiled.

"The Queen is going to be amazed I think" Pearl said and walked out the room with Anda behind her.

The Room next door opened and The crown prince stepped out of his room looking ravishing in a well tailored Suit.

"Wow" Anda stared at him awe struck.

"Where are you off to?Dinner will be served in 10 minutes and you're not yet dressed?"Nelson looked at her.

" Oh.. I am dressed,It's dinner not our wedding,If I dressed in that gown,I won't get enough food in my stomach and even if I did,I'm sure I'll die of indigestion so I need to be comfortable"Anda smiled.

" You can leave, I'll escort the princess"The Prince waved at Pearl who scurried away.

" So we are neighbours?How come you're living in temporary quarters when you are the crown prince and it's your house"Anda followed him.

" I moved in there after we got engaged and I also need to keep an eye on you"The prince said.

"Why?i haven't given you a reason not to trust me yet right?"Anda smiled.

" Your being the crown princess is already a reason,you've lived carelessly and without proper etiquette for a long time,you need to be properly trained and equipped as the future queen"Prince Nelson said.

Anda's smile fell off her face as she turned her full glare on her engaged.

" I will tolerate anything from you but not when you spew nonsense out of your trashy mouth against my family,I'll cut off your tongue and feed it to your cat"Anda said.

" See? that's an example of not so good moral upbringing"Nelson stood akimbo with a smirk on his face.

Anda pushed him against the wall and raised her hand,He held the hand and swirled her against the wall coming closer to her breathing face.

Anda looked up to his handsome face and that smile on his lips,she wanted to hit it off him but her heart was beating rapidly against her chest.

It must be as a result of fear because a very tall handsome man was standing in her personal space

But she had lived and worked with the male species all her life which made her strong and able to defend herself against them.

She brought up her knee against his crotch but he held her before she could make contact.

" Fool me once shame on you,Fool me twice shame on me.and Miranda,there would be no more fooling from you"Nelson brought his face closer to her.

" Sure about that?" She smiled jumping up and hitting her head against his mouth.He swore in pain releasing her.

She laughed and ran down the hall searching for the dinning hall.Before one of the maids could reach her to the dinning hall.Everyone was settled down and eating dinner.

"Goodevening..why is everyone looking so beautiful tonight?" She asked in awe at how everyone was dressed so extravagantly and vain.

"What about you?why are you not dressed?" The Queen asked.

"I don't feel so comfortable,Can I eat without dressing like I'm going out?" Anda smiled and The girl sitting beside her scoffed.

"Hi..I'm An....Miranda Don Costa" Anda smiled at her.

"Pristine..my name is Pristine" She said.

"I'm engaged to the prince.we haven't been introduced yet" Anda put a spoonful of rice into her mouth.

"Miranda" The Queen Called.

"I'm the King's Mistress, The Thirteenth,They know me as the Thirteenth." Pristine smiled.

Everyone froze and Anda continued eating.

"I thought we established the fact that Improper things will not be spoken about while we are eating"  The Queen glared at Pristine.

" It's not improper,I'm the King's Mistress and I have his child growing inside me,If Miranda is going to be the Future queen,She should know the position and  role of everybody in the dining hall"Pristine replied.

Everyone kept eating ignoring the banter happening around them

" Miranda Dear,This is the Queen and King you know of course,Your Engaged Crown Prince Nelson Don Fisco,The king's mistresses according to rank.Fiona,Agnes,Kim,Freda, Payne,Amelia,Isa,Elena,Chandra"Pristin introduced the people sitting around the dinning table.

"I think it's enough" Elena smiled.

"And one thing Miranda,when a mistress births a child.Either you hand your baby over to the Queen or you leave the palace,the other missing mistresses refused to hand over their kids" Pristine said.

"Pristine,I think you should leave the dining table" The Queen stood up.

"I was just about to,Miranda Dear..come around let's talk some more even though you might never see me again because every Mistress that leaves the palace with their kids..always manage to turn up dead" Pristine smiled.

"I said Leave" The Queen repeated.

"Just like the crown prince Ferdinand died without proper explanation" Pristine said.

"Leave!!!!!" The Queen shouted loosing her temper.

"Goodnight" She smiled and walked out of the dining room.Anda watched her back until it disappeared down the hall.

"Pristine is a little crazy right now,She lost her child after birth" The Queen smiled at Anda who returned the smile with a fake one.

Anda suddenly felt full from how much information she just heard.

"Thank you for the wonderful dinner" She smiled.

"Miranda Dear,It's curtsey to wait while everyone finish eating and exit the dinning room together" The Queen said.

"I feel stuffed, Can I go outside for fresh air?" Anda smiled.

" Of course Dear"The Queen nodded.

Anda brought out her phone and The queen looked at her briefly, She kept the phone and bowed her hair waiting for them.

It was rude but she didn't care. She wasn't going to sit down there and watch other people eat.
