Chapter 1 A Trap

The blanket of stars stretched into infinity in the sky when Emma saw the sign of BROOKLYN at the corner of the road pointing at her destination.

A small smile crept over her lips, she double-checked her phone just to see her upcoming task.

The birthday of her Fiance Jacob was coming.

Emma met Jacob, three years ago, at a conference in her college. The day their eyes met, something magical happened. They had a great talk after that and once they started talking, it didn’t end. Meeting after meeting, and soon they fell in love.

Some days before, Jacob proposed to her and Emma happily agreed. Tonight, Emma was going to make it special for Jacob by giving him a surprise visit.

She glanced into the review mirror to check if she had smeared her makeup in any way during her drive from Manhattan to here, but thankfully she didn’t.

She was wearing a short black sequin, sleeveless dress, which hugged her body perfectly, her jade skin looked more vibrant under the dark color. For the first time, she managed to pull off strap heels which complimented her dress in the most perfect and sexy way.

In short, today’s birthday present would be more than just a bouquet and a cake for Jacob.

Focused back on the road in front of her, she needed to reach her destination before 12.

Emma's heart was filled with excitement and nervousness as the distance started to get less, her heart started to thump more violently thinking of Jacob’s reaction to her sudden arrival at his place in the middle of the night.

Lost in her blissful future, Emma didn’t notice a silhouette lying in the center of the road. When she noticed it, without thinking she immediately pressed the brakes.

SCREECH

The man was squirming, his whole body was covered with blood which made Emma’s eyes pop. And in an instant, she went out to help the poor soul, not even considering the fact that it was close to midnight and the road was empty, also, the way she had dressed up tonight could awaken a dead soul.

“Hello… Sir…?” Emma called out and then knelt on the ground to check on the man.

The man didn’t respond, his eyes closed, but he was indeed injured as his clothes were covered with red and there were a few marks on his face too.

“Oh, no… You’re hurt…” Emma exclaimed and then turned towards her car, she needed her phone to call the ambulance.

COUGH … COUGH

The man coughed, taking Emma’s attention, “I’ll help you, Sir.” Emma said sincerely and then leaned down to hold him up, but at that exact moment, the man opened his eyes in a snap, and holding her shoulder in a tight grip, he turned her and pinned her down under him.

BOOM

“Ahh…” A cry of surprise escaped from Emma’s mouth, the man who was whimpering from pain is now sitting at the top of her.

She blinked her eyes trying to remove the shock and looked at the man clearly. The headlights of her car brightened the man’s face in the dark.

The man wiped the blood marks from his sleeves and gave Emma a fair look at his appearance.

The man’s features were sharp just like his eyes, there was no sign of pain or pity on his face but all that was there was darkness mixed with icy coldness. His lips pressed in a thin line. His eyes were like a predator carefully scrutinizing the emotions on her face.

“You’re… You’re not hurt…” Emma yelped, and fear started to creep into her body when the man smirked in response, a cold evil smirk that made her realize how stupidly she acted.

“Come out…”

The man on top of her yelled and Emma noticed a shadow walking out from the dark, which meant the man wasn’t alone, he has a partner.

Emma tried to stay calm and carefully looked at the man who appeared now, he looked down at her with narrowed eyes, and Emma could sense something bizarre by the way his eyes were wandering all over her.

But just as the man on top of her titled his head, the skinny man immediately straightened with respect and seriousness.

“Check her car.” The man on top of her ordered.

“Okay, Boss.” The skinny man bowed respectfully and then went towards her car.

“Nothing suspicious, she looks innocent.” The skinny man informed his boss and his lips lifted up slightly.

“Innocent?” The boss breathed, looking dangerous. His hands took out the dagger from the back.

Emma sucked in a breath of cold air when the tip of the dagger traced her cheek and then slowly went to the pulse of her neck.

“You shouldn’t be driving alone so late at night.” He said in a cold voice while pressing the tip of his dagger at her pulse.

“Please…” Emma stuttered vaguely.

The man scoffed coldly, even in his evil look he looked glorified. He then raised his dagger with the pure intention of ending her life.

'No!' Emma was so terrified by this truth that a lump stuck in her throat and was unable to respond.

Many pictures were quickly playing in her mind, her parents, her fiance, their blissful time, and his unconditional love, which made her eyes wet.

She has to live, she has to, for her parents, for Jacob.

But how…?

“Boss, wait a minute!” A sharp call stopped the man, and his face twisted with extreme anger as he tilted his head toward the source of the voice.

“What?” He growled at the skinny man.

“Boss… Can we keep this woman for now?" The skinny man carefully asked, flattering in the voice, "She's just a helpless woman, what danger could she bring to us?"

“We don’t have time for this." The man on her top simply refused him, "When we're safe, you can play with women as many as you want.”

The cold light flashed in his eyes made Emma tremble. She knew she had no strength to fight these two men,  and this might be the last chance for her to survive.

Swallowing the bitterness in her heart, Emma made a difficult decision.

"Please, don't kill me. I would do anything to cooperate with you guys!" She forced a smile and begged, throwing her pleading eyes to the skinny man.

Getting her pitiful look, the skinny man felt his member throb in his pants. As her dress had been hiked up, he got a clear view of her seductive body, especially the sensual plump part wrapped by her black lace panties.

“Please, boss… we've suffered so much in prison these days…and she's a rare beauty.” Like an obedient pup, he tried to convince his boss.

The man on top of her frowned slightly, pursed his lips, checking down at Emma silently.

His gaze was so cold, and Emma could hear her nervous heartbeat. As time passed by slowly, he kept silent.

“Fine.” As Emma closed her eyes desperately, the boss finally responded positively.

However, his other words soon followed, which sent Emma to a deeper hell .

"Remember to kill her after that."
