31. Challenge

Ava quietly followed Mr. Taylor through the huge halls. She was fully attentive, learning the routes of the lion's den or more like Wolf's pack.

He escorted her to the huge dining hall that overlooked the beautiful garden and a mini fountain through huge glass walls. A huge chandelier hanging right above the dining table.

She swallowed thickly when her gaze lingered on the man sitting at the head of the table. He was in a compression long-sleeved shirt and shorts going through his phone while chewing on his food. A girl stood beside him as she informed him about their meeting, she was in formal wear with two files in her hand and a notebook in which she was doodling out whatever he said to her.

Feeling gaze on him his attention darted to her and Ava stiffened under his scrutiny. Now she knew he wasn't human and that fact alone shifted something inside her.
