Elijah P.O.V. Waking in the morning I think back to last night's events. My talk with my beautiful, yet mysterious mate, and then when I came back. Jeez, this is turning into a madhouse. My mother is becoming somewhat narrow minded in her idea of marrying me to Caroline, which I found out last night is the Alpha daughters name, when she intruded on me in my room. If I hadn’t been here at the time, I’m very afraid she would have been in my bed by the time I came back. Actually now that I think about it, she did seem rather disappointed seeing me in my room. I roll my eyes while brushing my teeth. She’s been invited by my mother to stay here, and I need to tell Isabella myself, so she won't get the wrong idea. Again. Lauren, Dale and Ashton waited in my office with my dad, when I got back. I missed dinner, but my Isabella was all worth it. She promised to give me, us, a chance and intend to make the most of it. I will woo her and get her to realize we belong together. He
Alex P.O.V. I’ve been stuck at endless meetings these last couple of days, though I have made some progress as to figure out who my twin sister was. She was not who I thought she was, that one thing I know for sure. I thought Isabella was all talk, and otherwise quiet and reserved, but in town they know her as a completely different girl; funny, talkative, creative and active. She even went to the local dojo without anyone at the pack knowing. She really planned this escape from our pack into detail, making sure she would be able to defend herself. It was the owners of the local bookshop, the Aberforths, and the librarian Miss. Wood, who got me on track with my search. Neither of them seemed very cooperative at first, probably because Isabella told them about her home and how we had all failed her, not that I blamed her - quite the opposite. I admire how she has only told just enough for them to get the picture, but not at all everything that has been going on. All the unfairness
Isabella P.O.V. *Beep* *beep* *beep* The sound of the incisive beeping gets louder and louder in my ear until it’s almost unbearable. I can hear someone talking quietly somewhere near me, and I recognize the voices as Elijah and Lauren, with an unfamiliar female. “She’s stable, Alpha. But just by her reaction to your news, I’d say she must be suffering from PTSD or some other form of trauma related stress. Her body is not underweighted, but she’s a bit anemic and lacks vitamins etc. She’s been starving at some point, but seems to have found a food source somewhere in the last 4 years, that has helped her build her body again. I have given her some iron shots, some vitamin shots and she’ll need more when she wakes up.” The unfamiliar female says. “Thank you, doc. I didn’t know who else to call when she just fainted like that. To be honest that was the scariest thing I’ve ever witnessed.” Lauren chuckles, and Elijah snorts at her - I think. “Seriously, big brother. You are a b
Elijah P.O.V. I still can’t believe this beautiful creature in my arms accepted me back last night. I stayed here, with her in my embrace all night long. I haven’t slept that much, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve had my girl with me, and she’s slept so that’s all that matters. I’m still really angry about yesterday, and the way my mother has behaved. She will have to accept my mate, or get out of my pack. Does that make me sound like an asshole, probably. But She can’t stay here if she intends to work against the Luna. Then I don’t give a fuck who she is or used to be. She’ll either get in line or get out. We have a lot to do today, a lot to talk about and a lot to agree on. I need to get Isabella to agree to move into the pack, preferably into my room, but at the very least into the Alpha’s floor. I also need Caroline to get out of my pack, and I will banish her and make her an enemy of my pack if necessary. She’s not welcome as long as she is going to treat my mate
Elijah P.O.V. I see the girls off, making sure to implore Isabella how much I want her to just have fun shopping, and she’s using my card for everything she wants. She seems doubtful the whole time, but promises me to have fun and get something for herself. As I’m not quite sure she’s going to do as I say, I whisper to Lauren to get everything she even looks at. I don’t care about the price tag, or how much they take home - if my girl looks at it, they buy it. Money is not going to be a problem - ever. After they leave for their trip, which I hope is going to be a couple of hours at least, and knowing Lauren will be most of the day. I smile to myself. Isabella will also be moving her things today, though I don’t know if she’ll be moving into our room, or a room of her own? And yes, I absolutely view the Alpha suit as our room from now on and forever. No female has ever entered the Alpha suit, if we don’t count Lauren and my mother of course, which I don’t because they are famil
Isabella P.O.V. Elijah sees us off, and even though I do not want to admit it out loud; I miss him when I get in the car and it drives down the way to the pack border. All of the guards bowed to me and Elijah, and they kept calling me Luna. That’s so strange, and I don’t know what to do with that. We have two cars - one with me, Lauren, Ashton and the driver Alrick. The other is additional guards. “Luna, do you mind if we go shopping today, and move your things after the meeting with the Green Forest pack?” Ashton asks from the front seat, and I shake my head. “No, that's fine, Ashton. But then we need to get a toothbrush as well.” Both Ashton, Lauren and the guard driving, I think his name was Alrick, laughs. “Why are you laughing? I’ll need to be able to brush my teeth.” Lauren grabs my attention. “Babe, we are going to get you everything! Toothbrush included.” I quirk an eyebrow. Everything? “What do you mean everything?” Lauren smirks.
Alex P.O.V. We flew out to visit the Jewel pack, the trip only taking a couple of hours although we were flying across the country. I couldn’t help but think how long it had taken Isabella to drive here. Weeks? I sat on the private plane, my conscience bugging me more and more. I was going to see my sister again, and even though I was looking forward to seeing her, I also dreaded it. Was she going to listen to me, or was she going to refuse to talk to me all together? I kept fidgeting with the hem of my shirt. We were going to be here for a couple of days, our visit not until tomorrow. Janelle and Jeff insisted on going today and to get a feel of the town and relations between the pack and townspeople. Janelle had done as I thought and asked her father, or more like demanded him, to get out of her betrothal to me. She hadn’t thought of the raking situation, and she didn’t want to be beneath anyone. I laughed in my room later that night - bullet dodged. Now I just needed to rekindl
Isabella P.O.V. “They are planning to do what?” Elijah asks deadly calm. I can feel his anger through our bond, but he is trying so hard to keep it bay. I take his hand in mine, stroking his knuckles, and I feel his tension lessen. He gives me a look of gratitude and love, which I return with a small smile. I’m still really new to this love and respect kind of thing, so I have no idea what to do with myself when he does that. “I’m afraid so.” Alex answered with shame all over his voice. “I disagree with this, and I have left them. I took what little belongings I traveled with and decided to put my fate in the hands of my sister instead.” Alex looks at me with soft eyes, a look I haven’t seen forever. I’ve missed my twin like hell, but the things he’s done, the things he’s said over the years. I don’t know if I can forgive him? He sighs, as if he read my mind. “Isabella. I know I haven’t been the brother you deserve since that day with the picnic, and I have no idea if
