A surge of protective instincts welled in me as I wondered what the problem was. Millie’s words cut my musings short.
“This way, please,” she said, leading the way as Sebastian and I trailed along.
The meeting room was a large, airy room that smelled like lavender. The room contained rows of seats that could fit many. However, for this meeting, only 5 persons would be in attendance.
Everyone filed in and took up seats at the head of the main table in the room. I had Sebastian on my right, Miles and Millie on my left, and Sera sat far from me.
“I believe we have all been properly introduced. Then let’s get right down to business.” Sera said in a grave tone.
