I narrow my eyes at the stupid woman standing by my man. What is she thinking and right in front of me?

I don’t feel any comfort with my future father-in-law’s remarks. A part of me is happy he has spoken with an authority I don’t think I could have. But another part of me wants to catapult forward and rip not only her hand off her, but her entire arm, too.

My blood boils at her arrogance. My upper lip twitches as my eyes bore holes through her. She isn’t even that pretty.

The blonde woman beside Evan ignores the older man’s warning. She isn’t going to give up that easily, but Evan stops her in her tracks as she opens her mouth. “He is being nice. None of us are going to leave our fiancé for women like you, so you need to stop and walk away now.”

Frank nods and quickly adds, “My Izzy is the best thing I’ve ever had, and there is no way I’m giving her up for you.” His eyes scan her from head to toe before he shakes his head.
