Prologue

The splash sound of water gets more aggressive by merciless steps indicating someone is in a rush. Didn't care about the thunderous weather she kept her peace.

The sky was roaring like her hammering heart. It's like the sky was comforting her that she was not alone in her misery.

Finally reaching in front of the familiar building she didn't waste a second before entering into it.

As soon as she entered the hall the familiar antiseptic smell hit her nerve which she hated the most. How much she wishes she didn't want to come to this place but fate has other plans.

Running like a mad woman she finally reached in front of the ward. As soon as the doctor came out from the ward she asked the hardest question just to expect better news but it's like luck is not her favor today.

"W-What's the condition?" Shuttering the words which felt like poison she expected something better but her only hope got crushed with the doctor's next words.

"I am afraid Miss Watson but we need to run the surgery immediately or you may lose-"

"Just give me a little more time. I'll arrange the money. I promise." didn't let the doctor complete his words which she didn't want to hear in a million years. She promised the doctor more to herself.

Touching the glass hole with her one hand her eyes fall into the almost lifeless body. Which was attached with so many medical wires. At that point her tears didn't listen to her anymore as they started to flow. She also didn't attempt to stop them.

"Please don't leave me alone."

Running like a mad woman she didn't care about the signals. Her memory is full of the person she left in the hospital. Weather also not helping her in this situation.

She knew where she needed to go. Her solace, church.

Reaching there she sat in front of the statue. Joining her hand she prayed. She prayed to show her the right path, to give her strength. She can't lose anyone anymore. It's becoming too much for her now. Life is always unfair with her.

The deadliest past she left behind is still terrifying her. She didn't wanna think about it now. She overcame it. At least this is what she thought.

After her prayer in front Jesus she felt little ease.

Now she needed to go to the place she hated the most. But did she have any option? The answer is No. He didn't leave any option for her.

Standing in front of the giant building she looked at the name which was carved in the building proudly "KINGSTON CORPORATION".

Once it was her dream to work here but right now it's become her nightmare.

Without pondering her thoughts anymore she entered the building or should I say devil's den?

The elevator sound pulled her from her thoughts indicating that she reached the floor. This is a reserved floor. No one can enter here without permission but she is not just no one, she is special . For him.

Guards bowed their heads with respect as soon as they noticed her. Nobody has the right to look at her but him.

They gave her way without any question. Without giving any thoughts she was about to knock the door and as always the door opened automatically. It was a sensored system with her present.

Heaved a trembling sign she get inside the cabin only to welcomed by harsh sounds of keyboard.

She waited for him to look at her or at least acknowledge her presence but nothing came. Standing the same spot like ages she licked her lips before opening them to speak.

"I-I n-need the money". These four words felt like a burden to her tongue right now. This much effect he held on her.

His hands stopped for a moment before starting typing again. It's like he didn't even acknowledge her words.

"It's urgent please" She hates pleading to him. But right now the life she left in the hospital is more important than her pride.

Still she got no reaction from him. Now it's getting on her nerves. Here she is all wet due to the rain. On top of that, this room temperature didn't help her at all. She is trembling both nervousness and cold and there this cold hearted person didn't even care to look at her.

"She will die."This time she said a bit loudly and it indeed worked. She doesn't have any bullshit to wait for his attention. She is losing her patience.

This time he looked into her. As soon as he lifted his eyes her breath got hitched. They are deep shades of gray. But right now they are looking satanic.

Closing the laptop he leaned more into his chair giving her all his attention. His face was neutral. The cold aura was there.

He knew she would come back. She had to and he made sure of it. He always likes her being submissive but his little fireball is anything but submissive. So he made her one. She left no option for him.

"So what?" She looked at him in disbelief. Is he even human? Anger took into her but she chose to shallow it. Clenching her wet dress she closed her eyes to calm her down.

Opening her eyes she again tried to convince him. She can't anger him right now. This is not the right time.

"S-She is the o-only the I have" This time her lips trembled with helplessness as tears started to flow from her eyes.

"And you are the only one I have" His words made her stop her breath once again. But chose not to show him.

"Please" She pleaded with her most vulnerable voice. Hanging her head low she let her tears fall. Every time she tried not to feel weak in front of him but failed miserably.

Standing with his mighty height he came in front of her. He placed his index finger under her chin only to lift her bloodshot eyes.

For a flicker of a moment she saw some emotion in his dark orbs but vanished in the right moment.

"What do you want?" She knew asking this question she herself pushed herself into the devil's den which she never wanted. But His next words took her breath away.

"Marry Me".
