Chapter 5~ I didn't say that

RAVEN

We walked inside the hospital with his hand on my back. The states that were directed at us were full of different emotions. A few with hatred glares, a few with fearful gazes and a few with jealousy gazes. Ignoring those, we went straight inside the elevator and as soon as the elevator closed, I moved away from Ajax.

No matter how I deny it, his touch made me shiver to my core. I could feel the warmth of his hand inside my clothes as well. Before I could make a lot of dirty scenarios in my head, I moved away.

"What?"

I scowled at him as he stared at me.

"You are surely a tease."

Though he said it under his breath, I clearly heard that and squinted my eyes at him. Before I could argue back, the elevator opened and I was back in his arms again.

Well fuck my life!!

Ignoring the tingling sensation, I made a fine fast walk towards the cabin.

Giselle had woken up a week back. Hopefully it wasn't a major coma. Still the doctor advised to keep her under observation for a week more.

I opened the door and was greeted by a loud yell from Giselle,

"MY BESTIE GOT HITCHED….."

"Geez, Giselle, who will say you are sick?"

She opened her arms from me and I stepped away from Ajax going towards her for a hug. While she hugged me, I'm sure as hell her eyes went towards Ajax.

"Raven, he…."

"Yah, he is Ajax Aragorn. My husband."

The word sounded so normal on my tongue. Giselle's eyes furrowed together.

"But wasn't his name….?"

"I'll tell you about that later on, Giselle."

Giselle's narrowed eyes didn't leave Ajax's face which unknowingly bothered me a lot. Ajax came forward, slid his hand across my waist and pulled me to his chest, dropping a chaste kiss on my temple.

"Introduce me to your best friend, sunshine."

I looked at him wide eyed and he gave me a grin in return. Internally rolling my eyes, I faced Giselle,

"Giselle, meet my husband Ajax Aragorn and Ajax this is my best friend Giselle."

"Nice to meet you, Giselle."

Giselle didn't answer to his greet rather her eyes turned bloodshot and she started coughing loudly,

"Oh my god, Giselle. Are you alright?"

The nurse rushed in as I pressed the emergency button near her. The nurse evacuated the room and we were led outside to wait. After a solid half an hour, the nurse came back and told us to meet the patient some other time,

"What happened to her suddenly?"

"I don't know that either ma'am. She can't meet anyone right now. It's better if you leave for now. The doctor has to run some tests on her."

I nodded my head and unknowingly walked inside the elevator with Ajax behind me. He was surprisingly calm through the whole ordeal.

"Did you meet each other before?"

I asked Ajax as soon as the elevator closed.

"Yes."

That's it. A short answer and nothing more.

"How did you meet each other?"

He gave me his entire attention with a smirk playing on his lips.

"Why do you want to know, wifey? Are you by any chance jealous?"

"Jealous, my foot."

I muttered under my breath.

"I need to know how you know my best friend."

His eyes changed their emotion in a fleet of seconds and soon I was beckoned to the nearest mirror.

"It's a give and take relationship we have right now, Raven. You want something, you need to give me something. And it includes everything from information to sex."

My jaw fell to the ground at his words.

"You want information, you need to give me something."

Curse my attraction towards this man or my curiosity.

"Ok, what do you want?"

"Kiss me."

"What??"

"What? I said "kiss me."

He said innocently..

"I'm not going to kiss you."

"I'm not going to give you the information."

Idiot! With his hand resting above my head and another grazing my waist, I couldn't think straight.

"Fine."

"Uh huh, wait."

"What now?"

By that time I was grabbing his cheeks to kiss him.

"I'm not asking for a peck, Raven. I want a kiss that adults have. A kiss that is dirty and a kiss that will make me hard."

His words ignited something inside me and I felt a burning in between my legs. I started closing the distance between our lips and at the very moment, the elevator opened.

Bumper!

I stepped away from him, ready to go out from the elevator when he held my wrist and yanked me back pressing the 20th floor of the building.

"You shouldn't leave any work unfinished."

He pressed his body further into mine. His hand sliding from my wrist to cup my neck.

"Kiss me dirty, Sunshine."

He whispered against my lips and I lost it. Grabbing his jaw, I pressed my lips to his. Sucking on his bottom lip right away. His lips aren't rough. He surely takes his time to soften his mushy lips. His hand kept on pressing the nerve on my neck as I kissed him profusely. All the frustration, anger and attraction I felt in one day, I put them all in the kiss.

My breath came in short so I moved away when he again grabbed my hair and kissed me fiercely. His tongue slid inside my mouth, exploring every inch, every nook and corner. He slid his hand down my thighs and encouraged me to wrap my legs around his waist.

I obliged.

I jumped into his arms, wrapping my legs around his delicious torso. My dress pooled up around my waist, showing my panties in the mirror behind me.

"Fuck!"

He moved away and dropped his head in my neck, kissing a trail of wet kisses there and marking his territory.

The elevator dinged opened and he slowly dropped me down on the ground.

His head is still in my neck, breathing heavily against my skin. My hands clutched his biceps tightly. I have kissed other men and never liked this. Maybe I did, once in the club but that was left unfinished.

"Let's go for a dinner date."

What?? He moved away standing beside me with his hand intertwined with mine. A small smile playing on his lips. What the fuck???

"I kissed you. Where is my information? How did you meet Giselle? How do you know her?"

"Shush! Calm down. I'll tell you everything. But for now I'm hungry."

He hushed me with his finger on my lips and I quietened down. If he doesn't tell me anything after the dinner, I'm surely gonna kick him where the sun doesn't shine.

We left the hospital and got inside the car. The car started soon and in no time we were in front of a luxurious restaurant. Entering the restaurant I was dumbfounded as there was no one present there except the waiters. One of the waiters led us towards a secluded room.

"I reserved the restaurant for us."

I gave him a nod and silently ate my food eagerly waiting for the answer to my question. I almost choked on my drink while drinking it quickly.

"Now tell me. I have waited enough."

He kept his glass down on the table before facing me.

"Giselle's father is one of my capos. He works under me. He has helped me with many arms dealing."

"How did you meet Giselle?"

I raised my eyebrows at him.

"We have a ball after every 4 months for the mafias and capos to meet each other. To extend their business. Giselle was one of my dates for one of the balls."

Something churned inside me. I couldn't understand what I didn't like. My best friend being a date of a person like Ajax with such a reputation. Or that Ajax chose her as his date.

"You guys had some funny business."

He chuckled.

"No, Raven. She was just on a date. We went to the ball. The ball ended and our interaction also ended. We never talked after that."

"Really!"

He hummed.

"Yep. But her name was mentioned before me a few months back."

"When?"

"Her dad had sent a proposal to me."

"What proposal?"

"Such a curious cat you are."

"Just tell me."

I didn't know I would be so curious about something like this. I have known this man for barely 24 hours.

"Her dad proposed me to marry her and become a family."

The color drained from my face.

"Why didn't you marry her though?"

"Why would I marry her though?"

This man is so confusing.

"You want your dad's property. You can get it by marrying anyone."

He leaned back on his chair.

"There is a rule, Raven. The marriage needed to be contracted beforehand."

Oh!

I couldn't understand why I felt this aching pain in my chest. Ignoring that, I ate my desert silently.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my chin, raising my face to him.

"I also had a demand, sunshine."

I didn't say anything and waited for him to complete his sentence.

"I wouldn't marry a girl whom I don't like."

A Cheshire smile graced my lips.

"You like me?"

'"I didn't say that though."

Even though he denied, the stupid smile didn't leave my face.
