Amelie POV

I sat beside the bed waiting, as I had been doing every day for almost a week … waiting for Alexa to wake up. Matt and I had confirmed my pregnancy and that everything was normal. I had not been poisoned while in the compound, nor had there been any tampering with my blood. I had breathed a sigh of relief, but we all knew our time was borrowed.

As long as the man claiming to be my father was out there, roaming free, we were all at risk. I felt hands on my shoulders and jumped, so lost in my thoughts. “Sweetheart, it is me,” I heard Matt say with a chuckle. I relaxed into his hands on my body, “Sorry, I was caught up in my mind,” I admitted.

Matt walked around so he was kneeling in front of me. “We will find him, sweetheart; we have some leads,” Matt shared with me. “Really?” I asked, eager to hear what they have found. “I will let you know when we have something concrete but for now let’s get you out of here and get some food int

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 138 - Tracking

Amelie POV As we re-entered the pack hospital, I heard the screams coming from Alexa’s room. I heard panicked shouts from the medical team, and I knew they were trying to sedate her. I raced to the door, and yelled “STOP!”, using my Alpha command. Everything went silent, including Alexa. I locked eyes with Alexa, and I immediately saw tears form in her eyes. “It was not my imagination, you are real,” she whispered as the medical team started to look between us, realizing that we were in fact twins. We looked so different with Alexa being so ill, but the similarities were there. “It was real,” I said as I stepped closer to Alexa. Matt had entered the room and nodded to the medical team to leave us alone. Alexa tensed as she saw Matt standing in the doorway. “He is my mate. Matt … meet my sister, Alexa,” I shared as Matt said hello to her. Alexa was guarded but gave a brief nod acknowledging him. “I will give you both some time,”

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 136 - Soon

Matt POV I saw the fighter going for Amelie’s neck, and I saw the resigned look on her face before she closed her eyes, awaiting pending doom. I roared as I leapt across the room, wrapping my legs around the fighter’s neck. As we collided, I wrapped my hands around his head, pulling back with all my strength. I heard the inevitable snap of his neck as we both crashed to the ground. As the wind was taken from my lungs, I rolled over, groaning in pain. Before I could move another inch, I smelled Amelie and took her scent in. She was alive. We were both alive. I felt her hands wrap around my neck, and I felt all was right with the world. Whatever we had to face, we would do so together. I turned my head and wrapped my arms around her gently. I had no idea what abuse she had endured, and I needed to know her and our pup were safe. I took her face into my hands, “Are you okay, baby?” I asked, as I saw tears flowing down her cheeks. She nodded,

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 135 - Fighting

Matt POV I stood there stunned for a moment before rage took over my body. I leapt forward, trying to shift as I did. I was unable to shift but I landed on the smirking man in front of me, wrapping my hands around his neck. His smirk quickly shifted to fear as he realized how close he was to death. Before I could snap his neck, someone pulled me off him and started fighting with me. I lost sight of the man, as he scurried away. I focused on the man in front of me. His strength was incredible, clearly an enhanced fighter. We traded punch for punch, until I saw Blake come up behind him. The distraction was enough to take the man’s attention from me, allowing me to move forward and snap his neck. I breathed a brief sigh of relief until I quickly scanned the room. Most of our warriors were in similar fights and we needed to quickly move forward to help them. “Where did he go?” I yelled to Blake as we made our way through the crowd of

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 134 - Trust

Amelia POV My heart sank as he shut the door, leaving me with Rosie. “We will get out of here, Amelie … I promise,” Rosie said as she took hold of my hand. “A pup. We were not planning for a pup this soon. There is so much turmoil, I never thought about a pup,” I admitted, shaking my head at my stupidity. We may not have been trying but we were not doing anything not to try. What would Matt think? Would he be angry? Would he be disappointed I took this risk? Would he think I had already known? I did not know, but would he trust me when I told him I did not know? So many thoughts were racing through my mind. Without realizing it I had started to hyperventilate. Rosie was pushing my head down, telling me to breathe. “Just take deep breaths, and relax,” she said soothingly. I almost laughed at the ridiculous statement. How could I relax when a monster was holding us captive. A monster who would relish the thoughts of getting his hands on

  • Her Ultimate Salvation   Chapter 133 - Secret

Amelie POV I woke with a start, gasping for air. I knew I was alive, and I was now laying on a cot, still tied to the bed. “Finally awake I see,” the man stated. I slowly turned my head to look at him, a brutal headache distracting me from his voice. “What the hell did you do to me?” I demanded softly. “We conducted some simple tests. We are uncertain as to why you reacted the way you did,” he admitted. I simply lay there, turning my head to look at the ceiling. “How long have I been out?” I questioned, wondering where Matt was and why he had not rescued me yet. “Not long; long enough to cause a panic,” he shared. “Why panic? Don’t you want us dead so you can study us?” I snarled. I heard him move, as he stood to move closer, “I do not want you dead, Amelie. I need you,” he said. “What the hell for?” I questioned. “To help me get the women to cooperate,” he replied. “Like hell I will do that,” I spit out. “It is the only wa
