Everywhere went blur with dust and smoke, and as flames tore through the furniture and bullets rained into the massive hall. Everyone took to their heels and while Zain and some of his guards grabbed their fire arms and fought back.

I managed to find my way to the stairs whose concrete barricades took the bullets fired towards it. Some of the maids joined me, and gently, we crawled up the stairs as we fled death, but the bullet managed to slip through the spaces and met one of the maids in the head.

Her head popped, and those behind her screamed.

I spurned to see what happened, and a bullet whizzed past my ears and stroke the wall.

“Gosh!” I screamed.

“Move!” one of the maids screamed.

I hastened up, and soon, I was at the far end of the stair, with my palm resting on my ear which had sustained a mild bullet injury.
