The next day I made sure we came awake before seven in the morning. My hip felt much better and I was able to get to the bathroom on my own accord and Daniel waited until I was done before going into the bathroom after me.
"Don't you think we are a little too early or is that fine by you?" I asked him on our way out. We'd both worn identical white shirts tucked into pants and skirt that hugged my curves so tight I became too conscious of it."It shouldn't matter too much, we aren't doing anything wrong." He shrugged. We left the hotel and when he had waved a taxi that would take us there, I stopped him, "I think we got too hasty, I feel so hungry.""Want me to order something?""No shit Sherlock.""Alright then," he took my hand and we went to a restaurant nearby. Paris was beaming with all the beautiful cities. I thought it sucked that we were only here for a business trip. I would like to go around on a tourist visit. The restaurant looked fancy and I kind of felt out of place when we took our seats.Daniel seemed to notice my uneasiness, "hey it's okay." He pressed his hand over mine on the desk and waved a waiter over. After communicating in French, he turned to me, "well what would you like to have?""Anything you're having."He continued speaking in French and I furrowed my eyebrows when I saw that they were talking for longer than they should be."What was that about?" I asked Daniel when the waiter left to get our orders."He thought you and I were a couple and he kept complimenting how beautiful you are." He smiled from one corner of his mouth."Oh," I blushed immensely, "well that's just sweet."He returned with our meals and I tried my very best to avoid looking at Daniel because I didn't want him to see me blushing even though that was the hardest thing to hide.We left for Marcel afterwards.*"I still find it hard to believe our pitch was approved.""I know right?" Daniel said.I couldn't believe it all the way from their company back to the hotel. In fact it had been so pleasant to them that they wanted to sign with it immediately."Of course they had to accept," he chuckled at my level of excitement, "your pitch was mind blowing even to me." He spread his arms apart and I laid my head on his chest in a tight hug."What do we do now? We still have two days left for the trip, should we head back to New York or explore Paris?" He asked when I'd pulled away."Explore Paris for sure!" I beamed."Alright I will make arrangements for us by tonight. I'm glad we got them to accept to partner with us, your dad will be so impressed with me, it gives me so much joy." He sat on the bed, getting rid of his tie and looking around the white room, "this room surely has a lot of good luck," his eyes moved to mine, "and I'm certain it's more because I have you in here with me.""Yeah you're just about the best roommate I've ever had." I sat beside him on the bed."Really? Tell me about your other roommate or roommates." He laid on his back, crossing one leg over the other."My sister when we were younger," I laid next to him, laying on my side so I'd be facing him. "She was so mean and annoying.""Sarah's sweet, I can't imagine her as mean, exit when she's angry and gives me the silent treatment, she's certainly very good at that.""So am I."There was a moment of silence, "you tell me about your childhood, what was it like for you?""Sad and pathetic, I had no siblings to grow up with and when I lost my parents, fuck, I lost it all. I had to learn to grow on my own. I moved to the U.S with my maternal grandmother and she's basically all I have in life right now." He said with a straight face but I could still easily read the emotions in his voice."I'm really sorry to hear that." I sighed, I didn't think I'd be able to live without any member of my family. He turned his head so he was looking at me, "it's fine." His voice was lowered and husky and he maintained my eye contact with a silence that pierced so hard.In a matter of minutes, his hand cupped my cheek, he lifted his face and planted a kiss on my lips, closing his eyes as he spread my lips with his.The day was here. It hadn't even started and I was already tired of it.This fabulous definition of a small wedding was nothing like I have ever seen. First off, their small wedding guests were almost three hundred in number. Sarah had made sure that we all went to the order of events multiple times. Her immediate family members were expected to have gotten to the reception by seven in the morning and here I was still in bed, snuggled against Daniel by freaking six thirty in the morning. She's going to be so mad at us."She shouldn't be here for long," I replied, "Carol's going to be here any second, I'm sure the only reason we are yet to hear a reaction from her is because she's been caught on the web of a particular activity and couldn't show up to break our doors down."We should actually get to our feet." Daniel kissed my head gently.I stood up reluctantly knowing he was right. The living room had been transformed since the day we came into a whole event center. All the chairs,
The next morning was a hassle. Carol had come upstairs banging on the door of our room trying to force everyone awake and it was genuinely annoying since we'd slept so late last night."We have to go shopping, get up." She raised her voiceDaniel's arm was around me and he groaned when I tried to get up. "Don't leave." His thick and husky voice called in a low tone, his eyes still closed."I don't think she's going to stop," I groaned, snuggling closer to him."She'll have to give up, the doors locked, she's not forcing her way in." He said and I nodded against his chest and tightened my hold around him.I winced as she suddenly began to pound on the door. "Yeah she's not going to give up." I groaned and reluctantly got to my feet.Daniel still stayed in bed as I managed to pull myself towards the door to talk to her. I still didn't know how she was related to the family but I didn't like her.She was pounding heavily when I unlocked it and she'd almost hit my face, "what is it?""You
Daniel and I had packed our bags the day before and headed to the airport. I called my sister and she sent one of the Banks' drivers to come pick us up so here we were pulling up in front of the Banks mansion."Weird to say this but feels good to be here again," I told Daniel, undoing my seatbelt and getting out of the car. I actually looked forward to this whole thing."If you say so." He chuckled. We both got down, Daniel and the driver took our bags from the trunk and led us into the mansion. I loved the familiar smell of the wet bushes. "Well it's the moment of truth," I thought as we made our way to the main entrance I had so many questions and I was finally going to get answers to all of them.Sarah was waiting at the door, she pulled me into a hug the moment she saw me squeezing the life out of me, "I can't breathe I cannot breathe." I flailed my hands around trying to get the hell out of her grip. She let me go after bursting into a long laugh, "I'm so sorry, I just got so exc
"Come on you can't be serious!" I groaned at my phone after reading the text message Daniel had sent to me. He was supposed to come pick me up after work but according to his text message the route he normally took was heavily blocked by traffic and so he had to go through a different path.I was pretty annoyed because I had expected him to come pick me so I didn't take any change of clothes since he had been the one to drop me in the morning. I just left home in my swimsuit and nothing more. "Did you really have to do this tonight?" I mumbled aloud to myself as I trailed down the street that led to our house. It would take me at least forty five minutes to walk back home and it was past eleven p.m . I finished at work by 9 p.m. The only reason I was here till this time was because I was waiting for Daniel to come pick me up and by now all the shops around us were closed and it was starting to get lonely and creepy so he asked me to leave because he would not be able to make it in
The next day was a Saturday. Neither one of us had work today. I was chopping onions to make breakfast with in the kitchen when my phone rang out loud from where I'd left it.I furrowed my eyebrows, I barely got called when I wasn't away from Daniel as he was the only one constantly blowing my phone up."Could you please pass my phone?" I called to him.He skipped into the kitchen and gave it to me, wrapping his arms around me from behind and planting kisses on my neck.I looked at who the caller was and gasped."What, who is it?" He asked out of plain curiousity."My dad." I said and the look on his face matched the surprising one on mine.Since I moved away from the house my dad has not called me for once. Every now and then I will hear from my sister or my mum but he didn't even want to know how I was feeling and I did just come to the conclusion that our relationship was over."Do you want to answer it?" Daniel wondered."I guess so, I mean why now?"I was curious to know what yo
A few weeks later."Here you go, our special pasta Dran meal." I served the plate to a couple sitting on the first table. It had been three weeks since I started working at Hooked on the waitress. It was a restaurant where we served food wearing swimsuits that were form fitting and showed a lot of cleavage. At first I was sceptical taking the job then when I heard that the pay was $50 per hour and I could work for eight hours a day I hopped on it straight away. The best part of it was Daniel and I had moved to this side of town because his new job at a different print company was an hour drive away and the restaurant was a fifteen minutes drive from home.Speaking of Daniel, there he was sitting on one of the tables, pretending to look through the menu as though his eyes were not heavily fixed on me. I was heading back to the kitchen when I stopped in front of him for a brief second, "sir, what will you be having?""Your best meal," he lowered his voice, "you." I rolled my eyes "chee
