LOGIN“My warriors will slaughter you all. They will—” “Shhhh.” Alpha George placed his finger on my lips, “You know your people have lost, Kyra. Your army is nowhere close to mine; neither are your weapons. The best you can do from here is pray.” I lifted my chin, showing no fear. With the chains tugging my skin, I spat, eyes burning with flames, “If you're not scared, release me, let me fight with my people if I would not chop your head off.” “No, Kyra. You're my…” He paused, looking all soft and calm, until he replied, “Prisoner.” – Kyra Dew, Gamma of the Red Sky Pack, had gone to battles and come back victorious until she went to battle against their rivals, the Moonshine Pack. Captured, chained, and tortured for the truth, Kyra only promised to speak up when she saw the Alpha. Alpha George, strong and fearless, came into the dungeon to receive the shock of his life. His mate was the one whom he had ordered his guards to torture until she spat the truth. Angered and regretful, he made a mistake, a mistake that led to her escape, leading to the death of many. Kyra escaped back to her pack, happy to go back to her lover and soon-to-be Alpha, only to receive the shock of her life. What happens when Kyra finds out that her boyfriend isn't really her mate but has been deceived? What would Alpha George do when he finally finds the girl who caused him so much loss? “You don't know me,” Kyra said. Her chin was held in Alpha George’s grip. “I know enough to kill you.” Alpha George replied. Yet, his burning eyes were fixed on her lips. “Kill me?” Kyra tilted her head, “Or kiss me?” She whispered.

I stood outside, the breeze of the night caressing my skin. A smile plastered on my lips as I relaxed. My heart was beating steadily, waiting for him.
Him, Prince Roan.
Just then, my ears picked up the crunches of the wooden sticks on the ground, only for large arms to wrap around my waist from behind, causing me to shiver,
“It's not noble to tell a prince to come out this late, my lady,” I heard a very familiar voice that made my heart warm and my smile widen.
“The young gentleman could have easily refused,” I replied, and turned to meet his eyes.
They darkened for a while, and suddenly he hummed, “And miss spending time with you?” He asked, his lips dropping to place kisses on my neck.
My hands held onto his arm as I giggled, enjoying the pleasure that came with his lips.
“I'm sorry I had to bring you here, I didn't want the Alpha to see me,” I explained as I savored every moment of his lips on my skin.
He stopped. “Why is that?” He asked.
I shrugged, “I don't know. He— I think he doesn't like me,” Roan's forehead folded into a frown, “much,” I added.
“Kyra…”
“It's okay,” My hands circled around his neck, “I understand,”
No, I don't. I don't understand why I feel the Alpha hates me, yet praises me to the public. I don't know why I just can't shake that feeling off. Like something is off
He made me the commander of the army. I am a Red Sky pack warrior, yet I feel like prey, a tool. A means to an end, sort of.
He gives me a chill whenever he looks at me, and he doesn't look like he supports my relationship with his son, Prince Roan.
“Kyra?” Roan's blue eyes held mine. My heartbeat quickened. His eyes were calm, I could drown in them. They were safe, yet it caused my heart to race.
“I'll be leaving tomorrow,” I smiled. And he let out a frustrated sigh, causing me to giggle.
“What?” I pressed, in amusement, my eyes glowing, waiting for those words he had said again and again, but I hadn't gotten tired of hearing them.
“Why? Do you have to go?” He asked, pressing his forehead against mine.
“Come on, Roan. You know I have to,” I replied.
“This is dangerous.”
I rolled my eyes. “And I am Kyra. You cannot separate me from danger, my prince.” I giggled, but he wasn't smiling. “Also, don't forget that I will be the first warrior Luna in the Red Sky pack.”
His lips stretched, and he kissed my forehead. Then my nose and his lips came hanging very close to mine, causing me to release a shaking breath.
“I love you, my warrior princess.”
My heart skipped multiple beats. “I love you too, my prince,” I whispered. I didn't know which of us did it, but our lips collided in a beautiful harmony, causing me to melt into his arms.
The once gentle, innocent kiss became heated as I opened up for him. Roan picked me up, I yelped, circling my legs around his waist as we kissed.
Under the moonlight, Roan's lips designed my skin, his hands caressed every part of my flesh. Soon, I opened up for him as we made love under the moonlight.
***** The sun rose in the east today, a bright morning. Wearing full armor, I marched towards the front of the army, who were ready for war, facing our opponent.I could smell the confidence, the anger visible in their eyes. That's what I wanted to see. The Moonshine pack must bow.
“For Red Sky pack!” I yelled, raising my sword, and they did the same.
Roars and screaming were everywhere as we ran towards our opponents, and they did the same. The field of Acra shook as both packs clashed with one another.
Swords. Fists. Bites.
I reached for one of the warriors who was coming at me also, my sword attacking from an unbelievable angle, struck the soldier in his neck, penetrating into the other side of his neck.
As always, the war was tough and rough. One thing was, the Moonshine Pack's army was twice the number of ours. Their weapons were sharper and stronger than ours.
We needed to fight smarter and swiftly. My blade had divided a lot of them, but that was nothing compared to them.
The field was covered in blood, screams, and yelling from anger and pain. We were losing.
I was looking around when I noticed we needed to retreat before we lost. Immediately, I turned, and I ducked dodging the sword of an opponent. My sword swung from behind, heading straight for his knee. I pierced his foot to the ground before dividing his head from his body with another strike.
“Retreat!” I yelled as blood gushed out of his body, his head rolling on the ground.
I ran, trying to get all my soldiers together. The scream and shout drowned my own voice,
“Retreat!” I kept yelling.
“Attack!” I heard the commander of the Moonshine pack ordered.
I could see the literal fear in the eyes of my people. We have lost too much, and I cannot afford to lose anymore. This was the first war, in which I commanded a retreat. It was a defeat, but it was for the better.
My eyes caught one of my warriors who was trying to step back but was held. I went for him. My shoes collided with the face of Moonshine Pack's warrior, but that was all I remembered as I yelled,
“Run!”
I watched as my warriors retreated while I was being tackled to the ground. I tried to fight back, but there were too many.
Blood trickled down my forehead to my eyes, as it slowly began to close.
No!
Kyra's POV “My lady, please push.” The midwife said earnestly, raising her head to look at me. My sweat trickled down my forehead, soaking the pillow under me. I had always been strong, and my pain index was something I had always been proud of. But this pain was different; it was as though my lower body was about to be torn apart. My eyes had probably become bloodshot, and I had started growing dizzy. “My lady, breathe in and out. You can do this. The baby must not remain here for too long; he won't survive.” A maid said anxiously, holding my hand to comfort me. Yes, I had to do it. Or else, my pup won't make it. After carrying him in my belly for months, I could not imagine the devastation I would go through if I lost him. I gathered all my strength, pushing with every bit of fiber in my body. I gathered all my strength in my lower body, trying to push out the being that lingered in my private part. I gripped the sheets tightly, groaning out loud. My body trembled at the
Kyra's POV Roan led a few warriors towards me, and when he saw the bodies of his men on the ground, his eyebrows shot up, but he did not seem surprised. “Come back with me, Kyra. This land is not worthy of having someone like you.” Roan said, his chin raised in pride, and I scoffed. “So, a trash pack like yours, whose strategy is to exploit others, is the one worthy?” I shot back, and his face darkened. “I know you are still angry, but I hope you can understand. As a soon-to-be Alpha, it's a normal thing for women to push themselves at me; it can't be blamed on me. So follow me, and I promise you a better life.” He said it with that same arrogance that made my intestines ache. “What if I don't want to?” I retorted, and his face grew grave. “I'm afraid you don't have a say.” He said and signaled to the warriors behind him, who quickly dashed over. “I've spoken to you responsibly, and since you've refused to respect yourself, I have no choice but to do things in my own way,” Ro
Kyra's POV Just as Damon was about to open the letter, his body suddenly went taut in alertness, and he glanced around. “Who's there?” I have been found out! But before I could emerge, several figures walked out from under the shadows of the night, and I stopped. It was George, leading a group of warriors including Felix, Gideon, and a few familiar ones. Damon's face went pale, and he took a step back in shock. “How did you…” Gideon walked out, his face oddly ugly. “It was me. I reported you to the Alpha.” When Damon heard that, his pupils dilated, and he spat angrily, “Why did you do it? I thought we were friends!” Gideon snorted, “Friends? Our friendship ended the moment you decided to betray the hand that fed us and gave us shelter. We wouldn't be alive today if not because of the Alpha, and yet, after pledging allegiance to the pack, you still dared to betray us. How could you?” Damon forced himself to calm down, but he clenched his fist. “How exactly did you know?”
Kyra's POV I stared at the man before me with a frown, wondering what he was up to. “What have you found?” George asked coldly, and Damon took out a scroll from under his sleeves. Early this morning, Felix had called for us, saying that Damon had something to show us. After seeing him, Damon claimed that he had an important message to report. Felix collected the scroll and read it out loud. It was a written agreement between the Red Sky Pack, the Sky Palace Pack, and a few other packs, with three of them being under the alliance we've just formed. “What's the meaning of this? How did you get this, and how are we certain that it is real and not fabricated?” George asked coldly, exerting his aura to intimidate Damon. But Damon's face only twitched for a second before he returned to normal. “The Alpha should know that apart from being a tier three royal guard, I am also one of the pack's official spies.” I gave Felix a look, and he nodded in confirmation of the new informatio
Kyra's POV “We have evidence and witnesses now, but we need to catch him red-handed before any damage is done,” George said, his face increasingly dark. I could understand. No Alpha would feel good having a mole among his royal guards, and even a tier three royal guard as well. “He is cautious and is careful not to make direct contact with other people. Catching him won't be easy.” I said, and George gave me a look. “We will follow your idea and set a trap for him.” He said, and my eyes lit up. This was the first time he would be speaking to me since he arrived, and I almost could not suppress my smile. But before I could be happy for long, he said, “You can leave now.” I wanted to say something else, but a look from Felix made me close my mouth. I said nothing else and left the study room. Arriving in the chambers, I glanced around the decorated chamber and began pacing back and forth. Will Felix succeed in bringing George here? Should I go out and check? But I quickly dec
Kyra's POV “He said his name is Damon?” Felix asked with a frown, and I nodded. The moment they came back from the Dark Wolf Clan the next morning, I decided to voice my suspicions to him. “Yes, that was what he told me, but there's something strange about him. He seemed secretive, as though there's something else he's not saying.” Actually, I wouldn't have cared about such a simple matter, but we are at a sensitive period now. It's already certain that there's a mole among us, and any suspicious person is a suspect. Even if I had no evidence to back up my suspicion, I still had to say it. “I already had a guard call for Gregor and a tier one royal guard who is in charge of taking attendance of the warriors who had partaken in the shift during the time Ragnar and Roan escaped,” Felix explained, and I nodded. We both fell silent as we waited, and I was finally unable to take it any longer. “Err…where is George?” I asked, staring at him hopefully. They both came back this mo
